Wow ! You sure have put a lot of work into it. It's good to see that there are still people willing to tackle something that isn't a kit or ARF !

Congrats on your progres so far - and please keep updating your site so that we may watch your progress.

Apparently "Bablefish" doesn't speak German very well. It didn't translate all the words, and still is hard to figure out when you don't know what the words mean.

Looks like a "Kool" project tho!

Hi Harald,
My brother and I each built an EDF Su-27, though just a bit smaller than yours. Here's a link to some photos taken during my test flight:

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=55973

Here's the video of our test flights:
My Su-27:
High quality. 12MB:
http://allaboutguppys.com/flanker/su-27dls-hi.mpg

Dan's Su-27 9MB:
http://www.allaboutguppys.com/flanker/su-27first.mpg

and a pic of them just after completion. I'll definitely keep an eye on your progress. Thanks for posting this.

Hi to all friends of the F5,

F 5 made by Peter Liebetrau/Germany;P120/P160 is the right enginge for this monster(I think with a span of 1,6m/length 3m).

Contact Peter @: www.jet-team-liebetrau.de

i'm glad that you are interestet in my projekt.
i promise to keep you updatet.

the f5 tiger is a kit from jetteam peter liebetrau, @julian was right, he also sent the link to my friend peters site.
i also work on a new su27 ( much smaller then mine for him,
fuselage moulds are done and also the wings , i only have to make the elevators, tailerons and stuff, this plane comes with two little turbines with arround 5 - 6 NM of trust. wingspan is 240cm length 240 cm.)
but back to my f5 tiger.
i only have to brush the plane an to install the turbine, i will use a german tj 74 turbine with arround 14,5 NM of trust.

@ jay joung shim: no i dont work at the moke up at the moment, first i have to finish the wings an some other parts, then i make the panels...and so on........

@Daren: great planes you and your brother built!
did you bult the plane fo yourself? or is this a kit in the usa?
however. its really cool
Harald,
Thanks for the kind words. These are scratch built from Dan's design. Eventually there will be two kits offered (fiberglass and balsa/foam core wings from Electric Jet Factory & wood kit from Electric Aero Models). We're finalizing some of the design changes which usually happen when actually building a model which was designed in the computer.

They're both great flying models. We couldn't be happier with the final results. Are you building your Su-27 to kit it or just for your own use?

well, first i will finish the prototype. the plane will be build all composite so i'm thinking about to offer it as a kit, but i don't want to sell the plane, moulds, and also all rights ...better i will make only a few planes in a very good quality a year... we'll see

Harald,
I thought you were building the fuselage to be molded out of fiberglass. Is the fuse pictured on your site the final version?

I'm confused. It looks like you're building a wooden Su-27. I thought it was going to be a plug for your mold.

Here's a couple of pictures of my and Dan's Su-27s taken at an electric meet this last weekend to inspire you.

hi daren,
no confusion...the model will be mad from moulds, but i will mould it with all rivets and stuff, so i first made a wooden model with one 28og/m glass to glue the aluminium sheets .
if you don't glass the modell you maybe destroi the plug when you open the mould the first time.
with the glass on it, only some aluminim sheets can stay in the mould and thats no problem...
thanks for the pics of your electric su27, thats would be great if i could fly also one.
but you see i have no time to make one for me.....
