Day 8&9 were spent mainly on the wing. After sheeting the top of the wing I decided to take a look at the flaps and ailerons and I got a major migrain.
Nick sorry man but there must be a easier way to do this, I meen cuting triangles in to the wing and 1/8 balsa trailin edge shaping the leading edge of the flaps hinges way on the base of the flap OUCH it;s a nightmare.

Arthur..

Tried several times to fax the 9 page building guide.. won't go through.

Says a poor line connection ??

Send your address, I made a copy for you..... If you still need them. Or, give me some insight into your fax situation ??

Good Day.

JIM

A very intimidating project! I have been following along with great interest. You have finally motivated me to start mine. It will be a little different since i've got the f-glas fuse but I thought I would start with something relatively easy like the rudder. here it is roughed in.

If Anyone comes across a p-51 called death Rattler it was silver and had a checkered tail. The pilot Harry Tope died in the plane doing aerobatics. His wife, also a pilot, owns an AT6 SHE REQUESTS NO ONE MODEL HER LATE HUSBANDS AIRCRAFT. tHEY WERE FROM mt pLEASANT mICHIGAN!
The aircraft shown here is not the one!

A rainy day so here we go with the elevators - 1/2 done. I decided to use robart hinges and I moved the control horn blocks so I can mount the elevator servos in hatches in the bottom of the stab.

Hi
It's interesting to follow the progress on your P51 Artin. I am sure it will end up with another nice Stang in the sky!
Does anyone know here of someone who modified the Ziroli P51-D to a P51-Version?
Would like to know all about it as it is my goal to build the B-Version on Ziroli base. Hope to get your feedback soon, thanks!

Hi Art, How is the P-51 going? I love this plane, I have two of them that I am building at the same time. I have not worked on them for awhile now but I am going to get back on them this week now that I got laid off and have lots of time to work on them. I also am going to build a Ziroli P-38, I have the plans and should have the kit for it by the end of the week. The wife will sure be proud of me for getting another plane and getting laid off. Well nuf of that, good luck with the stang. I will check back to see how its going. It sure looks good so far.
