Build it like they tell you to, it's a wonderful ship without mods or special tricks!
I think Mark Drela had made a comment about how the tail surfaces need to be larger, but he says that about a lot of designs out there. Most of us normal(read:non-aeronautical engineer ) people won't be able to tell the difference. Keep us updated on the progress and post some pictures if you can!
