Bax, do you know (of course you do!) who was the lead engineer on the Top Flite Piper Warrior II?

Jerry

PS Have the kits been sent out yet?

Mark Hampe is the designer of the Top Flite Piper Arrow kit.

The kits were delivered to the warehouse yesterday (12/14/04), and backorders will be filled and shipped in the next few business days.

Do have a 'new' problem ( which I am about to create )...I would like to put in a scale 'door' on the passenger's side and as you can see from the photos, there isn't going to be much space to tie the front right side of the fuse to the rear right side. Was thinking of using a small 1/4" to 1/8" band of CF along the bottom of the fuse, but do you know or think of a better way to make sure the right side doesn't get there before the left side

You're going to have to integrate the top shell of the cabin with the balsa structure, and build in some more structure to carry the loads. It's possible that you'll have to either make a fiberglass cabin top by using the plastic part as a mold, or build one out of balsa. The lower fuselage won't likely be able to be reinforced enough to carry the loads. We'd permanently install the cabin top and then install the interior through the bottom...through the wing opening. Yes, that will make installation of the R/C equipment problematic, but that's what happens if you want more fidelity to scale than the kit provides.

Thank you for your time and expertise! I'll see what I can do with the glass top.
