    Yeah Harry,

I'm with you, I will try to start mine on Sunday, but in reality it probably won't happen until Monday.
Oh well, I'll get it done, all in good time.

Merry Christmas back at ya'. Have a very good and safe holiday season, everyone.

    Ken

    P.S. I think P47 was having a bad day

    It'll be all right.

    Hey Dick,
I have a HiMax 2808-0980 that I will be using on my Tensor. I'll also be using Apogee 3S1P 830 mAh packs. I decided on the Phoenix 25 for my ESC, because in the motor chart, included in the HiMax package, it says that with the 10x4.7 props that I plan to use, I'll max out at over 15 amps, at full throttle. I just didn't want to take a chance on losing an ESC by sticking with the Phoenix 10.

You've tested a few motor combo's, this being my forst HiMax setup, I normally use Hacker on my other foamies, does it sound workable to you?

I know that I'll rarely use WOT, and if I do, it'll only be a short burst, but I'd rather be safe than sorry on the ESC.

    Ken

    Mike,
Thanks for the link my friend! Fine job you've done there! I'm really glad I read it over, ton's of helpful info there. I love how you described the flight characterices of the Tensor! Too funny, and very helpful! Pictures were great as well. I remember you now from the YAK-E thread (after seeing the picture of it in the background)
I'm planning on flying my Tensor indoors. I have several electric planes including the Yak-E, E-flight Ultimate, and Tribute and the all new Mini-Funtana (too cool) to fly outdoors.
Brief history of my flying (oh Lord, here we go again!): I've been flying R/C since 1975. Took a break from 94 until summer of 04 (ten years). OMG, have things changed!!! I flew big gassers, pattern, and electrics back then. Electrics back then were using the old ni-cad big packs, and performance sucked! In June of this year while recovering from some major surgery, my wife drove me out to the field to watch from the truck. I saw my first foamie and it was hovering . . . it was hovering, it was just hanging there, it was hovering. . . da*n! I was hooked again!!! 11 planes, and 1 electric helicopter later since June, I'm still learning 3D flying. And I will master it some day! But for now I'm loving the learning!!!

    Thanks Harry,
It takes alot of time to repost picts and diatribe, sorry I got lazy and just posted the link.
Definatly do the control horn mod..this is the first time I really got massive throws on the elevator.
Speaking of elevators, I got just a wee bit of wind yesterday, and this tensor does a spectacular elevator..high rates, doesn't mater how high..straight down to the deck...a wee bit of throttle...greased landings everytime..OK here's another one..super low and slow KE, cut throttle and roll for landing..from KE to landing is 10 inches..too funny!
One more..doing Oh so tight turns, upright going lower and lower and s-l-o-w-e-r to touchdown..it is so light it just lands sideways with no roll out.
I started the assembly doing the thread and ca method, that got old so I went back to my old fav with shrink wrap and ca for joining the cf rods to the music wire...I just shrink until tight, do my radio set up, then when done adjusting the wire/cf, I just do a drop of thin ca on the shrink..holds forever.
I really love this shot of the rolling circle with no rudder...
    Merry Christmas to all...

I am about to start building my Tensor and I have to buy a flight pack also. Which receiver is best for this plane. I was thinking about going with a Hitec receiver with HS-55 servos. Is the Electron 6 too heavy? Any other suggestions...thanks.

I'm flying the GWS 6ch with no problems whatsoever.....friends I know/respect like the Berg stamp...glitch proof..if you don't fly with very many foamys at the same time, GWS are fine...if you are going to fly indoors w/several people, step up and go better,,the electron is pretty heavy, IMHO..comparativley speaking,

    Bobby:

I think FMA's M5s are about the nicest little receivers you can get. Small, light and dual conversion. Would highly recommend them.
