This my attempt to make a scale version of my Cherokee:

Used my TLT-1 (very ruff...still have to clean it up). Fabb'd a tube frame and skinned it.

Be kind, it's my first total RC fabrication!

Thanks

Yep, axles are from my TLT-1. The wheels are HPI Super MT (rear) w/ Masher's.

One question, why do people run their shocks upside down?

Gives more twist without stressing the shocks.

Xjk9bar1, how is the P2k2 working out in that crawler? I was thinking about putting some in my crawler.

It works good...my ESC just took a dump. Reverse doesn't work. This sucks!

If all you want to do is crawl, go with a magnetic Maham or Integy Lath motor... It will put less stress on your ESC and give you more torque. Leave your speed to the dirt trucks and bashing... My stocker would heat up my ESC really quick while crawling. Now that I have the Integy, it's cool as a cucumber...

The CheroKrawler is under a total redsign -

New tube chasis w/ 3/16 tubing to reduce the weight. Wheel base will be around 13" and the center clearance will be around 3.5".

EMAXX tranny w/ 55t Lathe and 9t pinion. I haven't decided on driveshafts, it's either going to be Traxxas sliders or the Jugg U-joint propeller type. I was going to use some REVO's but I think the wheel base will be to short.

And the Super rooster ESC so I never have to worry about it again.

Again, I based it of my XJ...an old version!!! (Lame Windows Paint Pic's)

This a mock up with the top half of the chasis to double check everything is in scale (the battery was only used to hold the front half down).

The final version should look something like this

Joe
