Bob S.

Since you are in upstate NY how about going to White Plains NY to the W.R.A.M. Show? Power Master is always there with fuel by the truck load and always have a reasonable price. That is where and how I get my fuel and live 175 miles south of White Plains. I have used their fuel for several years and have not had any problem with the 10% which I use year round. The other places that I can get fuel locally are much more expencive. What I save in fuel more than pays for the tickets to the show. I hope this helps.

I run all gasoline. In the past 25 years that has saved me about $9000.00 in fuel cost - had I needed to purchase glo-fuel instead. Go Gas!

2 strokes Byron 15%
4 strokes PowerMaster 4 stroke 15%

I used to use PowerMaster in my 2 strokes also but tried the Byrons once and noticed alot more oil residue on the plane at the end of the day, so I switched. More cleanup time required but I think its worth it for the well being of my engines.

I use Wildcat 2 / 4 -15% nitro 18% syn and add 2.5 oz of castor oil and .5 oz of Marvel Mystery Oil. Marvel mystery oil will not add directly to the fuel. I add it to the castor oil, warm it in the micro wave. It will then go into the mix. I run this blend in all of my 2 & 4 stroke engines. The addition of the Marvel Mystery Oil keeps the carbon from becoming hard in the exhaust valve area of my Saito 4 strokes. Also I do not need any after run oil with this mixture.

I RUN MY OWN MIXTURE CONSISTING OF 20% NITRO, 20% KLOTZ SUPER TECHNIPLATE (CONTAINS 20% CASTOR OIL), 4 DROPS OF ARMOR-ALL PER GALLON. ARMOR-ALL IS USED AS AN ANTI-FOAMING AGENT. I FIND THAT THIS MIXTURE RUNS WELL IN ALL APPLICATIONS. HELI ENGINES, LARGE SUPER TIGRES, AND FOUR STROKES. I DID HOWEVER, HAVE TO DECOMPRESS A MDS 1.48 TO KEEP IT FROM DETONATING. THIS WAS ACCOMPLISHED BY ADDING TWO EXTRA HEAD GASKETS.

A GOOD COMMERCIAL MIXTURE THAT THE FLIERS USE IN THIS AREA IS SIG 15% NITRO FUEL WITH A 50-50 MIXTURE OF SYNTHETIC/CASTOR.

THANKS, RAY

XP 25% Pro-Pattern
XP 30% Heli (for those hot days!!)

XP is a Canadian fuel that is quite popular in the western end of the country.

I use Power Master 15 & 30% all synthetic.

Next gallon I am going with YS 20/20, more than enough nitro for .30 & .60 size heli's (Yes, even doing 3d manuevers).

Been using Good ole Fox Superfuel since my control line days. At 10% nitro, 29% Castor it has never done me wrong. Got some foxes 40 years old that still run great on it. K&Bs seem to love it too.
Even the AP .09s run good on it!
