S&W is pretty popular here on the east coast. Here in Boston, our selection of LHSs is pretty bad, so it's quite common for us to run up to RC Buyers Warehouse up in Nashua, NH... They seem to be the largest semi-local shop around. They seem to carry a lot of S&W fuels.

I use WildCat .
I was using cool power and power master nice fuel.
I have much better results with WildCat.

Status: offline 		Wildcat fuel is all I've ever used and seems to work well for me. I run 15% Prem Xtra in my 40 sized 2 strokes and in my four strokes. I use 5% Prem in all my big 2 strokes.

Question: Has anyone ever ordered directly from Wildcat?

Status: offline 		I mix my own fuel. When I first got the heli (Feb2000), I was going through so much of the stuff, I simply couldn't justify buying premix when I could mix it myself for around half the cost!

For my OS.46FXH in the heli (with a custom made piston and liner from Ranjit Phelan here in Aus), my OS.40FP and my Magnum.40GP, I'm running 20% Klotz, 10% nitro and 70% methanol.

For my YS.91FZ, I'm running 20% Klotz, 20% nitro and 60% methanol.

For my Super Tigre .45, I'm running 20% castor, 80% methanol. The pylon rules here don't allow nitro or synthetic oils.

For those wanting to know where I get the ingredients, keep in mind I'm in Australia.....

Nitro comes from VP Racing Fuels, on the QLD Sunshine Coast. We buy in bulk and split it up between 3 of us. A 20l drum costs A$330.

Methanol comes from a local BP Fuels depot. We buy a 20l drum each at a time. Last time I checked, it was A$34 for 20l, but I understand it's gone up substantially since then.

Klotz comes from a hobby shop in a nearby town. A$85 for a 5l bottle of KL200, fully synthetic.

Castor comes from a local Castrol depot. A$55 for a 5l tin.

20% NSSR - 80%Methanol

Cheaper than what u get in the shops although slightly oilier( but then you still have to clean your craft down anyway when running an oil mix), haven't had a glow plug fail on me yet since i have been running this.

Status: offline 		I use SIG Fuels in all of my 2 strokes with the exception of my scale carrier planes where I mix my own fuel of 70% Nitro 20% Klotz oil and 10% Propylene Oxide.
I am amazed at all the people that state they run a fuel they just love, but they add ingrediants to improve it. Sig fuels have 20% oil in their regular blends and need nothing added. They also make special fuels for special purposes with either less or more oil as is needed by the engine.

Status: offline 		I also run Sig Fuel in all my engines. I was begining to think I was going to be alone here. But thanks to MtMotor I'm not. Good fuel,good lubrication. And if I had to add ingredients to fuel to bring it up to my standards I would be shopping around for another fuel. Thats like adding raisins to wheaties to make Raisin Brand.
