Hey Kyle this is a bit off the subject but I see that you have huge cut outs on the cowl for the YS 120. Is the cowling on yours cut out that much for your liking or should it be cut out that much on all F90's with the YS 110 - 120 range. Just curious because alot of aircraft that I have owned in the past I have either not even bothered fitting the cowl or the holes have always been smaller in proportion. Thanks

Actually. the electric funtana flew better than mine with a YS 120. It was not my plane, so i wasnt use to the plane too much and didnt do as much. But i think over all it flew better than mine.

the cutouts are that size just because i feel better knowing i have plenty of air going through there. I just use the "3 times more air going out, than air coming in" rule. I think i have a little more than 3 times the air going out though. And i also ushually run a pitts style muffler, but I had to change back to strait pipe after my pitts broke, so i had it trimmed out for that..

    Hi Kyle,
I watched your other video on the electric F90, and that one does't seem to 3D as well as your (with the YS 1.20); is the CG of the electric farther forward???

I think I missed the F90 electric video. Can anyone help me here? Thanks

    Thanks Kyle! You da man!!!

Do you know when/where you will first compete or fly a demo this year in the Washington / Oregon area?

The weather has been so nice this winter so I have been flying with my spare time and not finishing up the F90. Does the F90 have enough rudder to KE loop?

Dang it is fun to watch your videos!!!!!!

    Thanks,

    Steve

I know!! the Weather has been great. But i have been doing school work and havnt been able to fly.. Will this weekend for sure though. (1st day of combat)

the 1st IMAC event of the year will be on April 10th at the RAMS feild. nothing too exciting at that one. There is, however, the Spring Big-Bird Fly-in at Zhilla, Washington on April 22-24. that would be the good one to come to. Its open fly, you can bring what ever you want. (doesnt have to be a bigbird)

    HI KYLE,
Congratulation for the video, is excelent.
I need help because i have a Funtana 90 and i have two choices of engine, an OS .91 FX and a ST 2300. what engine you recomend me to use in 3D flight?
We don have a nitro fuel in mi country, is very dificult to have it. I fly in 2800 feet over the level sea.

    Thanks for the answer.

    hey, thank you...

To be honest with you. I really cant say much for either of these engine. I have never seen either run in person and i dont know how much power they put out.. So i really cant say wether they will work or not.

Maybe someone that has worked with these engines can help you out?

I gotta say Rolling Harriers have to be one of thee hardest moves in 3D.
Untill Kyle sent me that vid i had no idea how to do them now i understand how and can even do them alittle, but adding throttle variation in with the ruder input is a pain in the arse, funny thing is i found them easyier with my Funtana 40 then in G3.
I just keep reminding myself, its no different then a video game, which is something Iv spent my entire life doing
One day i might be like Kyle hehe

Yeah. . mayn times you have to right click on the link and go to "Open in a new wind" then *while the vid is still loading in the new window* go back to the link and now right click and go to save target as. . . then you may be able to save it.

In the mean time, any of the videso Kyle posted on my ftp will simply drag and drop to your desktop.

    There we go...lol sorry

The electric Funtana actually flew better than the glow. IMO I like the big Prop disk, so you get more airflow over the surfaces. and its a pound heavier, so it does some awesome tumbles..( I like heavy planes) . it flew great, and almost got me wanting to convert over..

How about putting a DA50 in it, then you would have more weight and be able to turn a larger disk ?

This is a good argument for at least a Moki 2.1 on a F90.

Does that make the Electric F90 10.75 or 11 pounds?

no 3w 212 w 32x10 prop would be best with 333 in oz servos and a tripple redundant battery system ..

on second thought keep it the way you have it

hi Kyle, great flying! I'm putting together a f90 with a OS 160? it looks like it will be under 9lbs. Can you send me your radio set up if possible.
I Have a funtana 40 that I have been trying to practice on (harrier's) are not very good, lots of wing rock? spoilers make it settle down allot but would like to learn with out mix? Is it possible with the f40. is my cg still to far forward.

I sure would like to see you fly? I live in British Columbia, your not to far way from here. I will try the get down that way this summer.
I have e-mailed you from your web site, keeps coming back.
