    Thanks guys.

If you have ever seen the video of me flying in the snow, it is done with a Funtana 40 that i recovered. It does rock in a harrier much more than the funtana 90, but it can be stopped without mixing. My CG is at 5.5in on the 40 size funtana.

Yes, you will have to come down some time! It would be great fun!

this is my radio set up...

    -TX: Hitec Eclipse 7
    -Expo:Ailerons- 25% Elevator- 30% Rudder- 10%
    -Mixing: Spoilerons for the tumble.
    -No dule rates

Its not anything too special, but it gets the job done..

    Tuomas,

That's a beautiful plane, I love it. It sure has POWER for verticle. Nice flying and smoke too. .

Give us your setup (motor, servos, etc).

Where is this sold? Is it a good kit?

My plane data can be found on my homepage, follow This and click "3D". I have some pics uploaded too so you can see the construction.

I do like the kit and I definitely like the looks. I don't know US retailer, but Sebart is the manufacturers site. My choise was 140 Limited and it easily does its job, doesnt it? I still have lots to adjust to get it perform better. I find it is nose heavy, maybe needs some more aileron movement and a few other things to do. The videos are from the first two test flight sessions. It is still early spring here

I know, big files but better quality. I hope you aren't dissapointed after long time downloading..

Very nice. What fuel prop & RPM with the 1.4L?

    Kyle,

my CG is a 6.2 inches back from the leading edge. Would that make the wing rock more? and doing hover more difficult if the CG is back to far? I'm also more expo on ever control too, I try to cut down the expo? every bit of advice would much be . Theres know one around there that tries 3D flying, I'm all alone.

I use my own mix: 10% Aerosave, 10% Klozy and 30% nitro. I use the same stuff with 140DZ in pattern. L with 17x8 APC peak revs was 9200RPM on full throttle and I think it is a bit too much. But with this plane I hardly ever need full throttle, the acceleration is impressive enough anyway. I can fly straight down like it had a hand brake on with the 8" pitch.

    About the CG..

I think a tail heavy plane is easier to hover and to elevator around without wing rockin. However at some stage you will get the plane oversteer and lift the nose on horizontal position. This makes the plane difficult to land and to fly aerobatics with. Try to find your compromise.

The problem is inconstant speed and power which make the angle of alpha and the need of pull (or push) vary. These changes together with incorrect timing on any surface will encourage the wobble. Try to maintain constant speed when pulling in to higher alpha and play with the elevator just to keep it in the same position. Then adjust the altitude with the throttle.. I always have the same thing going on with a new plane, 'the feel' is unique for every design, throttle response, CG and so on. Practise and then try, do not rush into adjustments before you know the previous setting in the good and the bad.

And when you know how not to rock the wing you can start to abuse the knowlege and make it to rock really dangerously and flip the plane around..

I hope this makes sense. This is how I think of it

is that the 40 size or 90 size? If that is the 40 size, then you are way tail heavy and its probably just really touchy.

if it is the 90 size, then you are a little nose heavy. my CG on the 90 size is 7.5 inches.

Kyle, do you have your fuel tank behind the wing tube on your F90?

    Thanks

What size is it? How far in front is it & do you think your CG changes much from full to empty?

    Thanks

It is the stock tank, I'm not sure what size that it. I have it laying on the bottom of the fuse in that area in front of the tube. I notice a slight change in CG from full to empty. But it's not enough to really change the way it flies that much.
