Gungadin, I did a test download on both and they were fine. Try switching off your firewall or anti-virus program temporarily. BTW, I use Download Accelerator.

Greetings Maarten,

Your planes are excellent and fun to fly....thank you!
I am trying to find a 1/3 scale Extra 260 or similar to practice for the one I'm building.
How can I set one up or do you have one? Thank you.

Gungadin,

Did you install the latest AFPD patch (1.9.7.7 if you have addons, or 1.8.0.25 if you don't have addons)? Also, install the latest driver for your video card

Mike--I don't have add ons and my version is 1.9.5.9. Should it be 1.8.0.25 ? You think this is the reason the votec download came out all white ?

Gungadin, did you install any AFPD patch before? Also, have you installed the latest driver for your video card?

Mike--Yes I did install one patch since I got the sim. My video card is a Nvidia GeForce 6800 and it's less than a year old. Why should it be a problem ?

Hi Gungadin, if you don't have any add-ons, then you should install patch 1.8.0.25 Pls download and install this patch http://www.aerofly.com/www/downloads.html#afpdpatchen There is a possibility of program corruption if you download the wrong patch but go ahead and install 1.8.0.25 for now and see what happens. Otherwise you may have to do a complete uninstall/reinstall.

You also need to have the latest video card driver installed http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp The driver that came with your card may have been an older version

Both of these can lead to the problem you are seeing. The other possibility is the model is not compatible with AFPD (this may occur with third party planes), but that should not be the case since my Votec is working fine.

Mike---I did a complete uninstall/re-install and deleted the Votec and then re-downloaded it and I got the same thing. An all white airplane that flies great but is hard to see. I have downloaded 6 or 7 other airplanes and did not have this problem so I'm at a loss as to why this airplane download should have a problem when none of the other planes I've downloaded had no such problem.

Gungadin, I went back to Doc's site and found that the white plane occurs in the Imac Votec, but not in the 3D Votec . Here's the problem - all the .bmp and .obj files are missing in the Imac version! What you need to do is to also download the 3D Votec. Copy all the .bmp and .obj files from the 3D Votec folder and paste them into the folder of the Imac Votec. You should be fine after this. I've listed the files you need to copy/paste below:

glas.bmp
thumb.bmp
votec322.obj
votec-elevator.bmp
votec-fu.bmp
votec-fu-mm.bmp
votec-gear.bmp
votec-parts.bmp
votec-wl.bmp
votec-wr.bmp

Mike--So that is what the problem has been all along. Thank you for your trouble shooting and all your effort in helping me. I will copy the files from the 3D version and put them in the IMAC folder. If I have any more problems I'll let you know. Thanks again !

jdriza, yes it does. The install wizard will ask you for a destination location, and you can change that by specifying an alternate path.

Could you provide a little more detail about your setup e.g. are you using your own Tx, which plane in AFP, in which specific direction is it moving away, etc? Thanks

Dual rates and mixing have to be done from a programmable radio. If you're using dual rates, calibrate your radio at high rates and disable all program mixes in the beginning.

Thanks for your help.
I can't configure AFP deluxe 19XX to see my transmiter (Futaba 9). I configure as joystick, with only 4 chanels and retracts. Since I would like to use mixers for flaps spoilers elevator, what do I have to do?
When denoting a transmiter, chanels do not respond.
Thanks for your concern to ignorants.
Best.

Do a search in the sites listed here and you'll probably find the model you want http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_5044008/tm.htm
