Hey Doc,
Is there any way to get a OMP 47" Yak for AFP D? I have the Giant Yak and I have the 47" Yak on the way so I would love to be able to fly both in AFP D. Thanks LeeU

LeeU, I'll try to make the big Yak fly the same as the small one. What engine are you using?

Doc,
The big Yak flys awsome now, as far as the small Yak I will be using a OS 46 FX with Ultrathrust muffler which is good for another 1500 rpm over a stock 46. the specs for the 47" Yak from OMP's web page are:

Wingspan: 47"
Wing Area: 752 sq in
Length: 46.5"
Approx. Weight: 4 lbs
Engine: .40 - .46 2-strk,
.52 - .70 4-strk

Thanks Lee

I changed this: CG: -4cm deflection: rolls: 45° elev, rudder: 60° propwash: rudder: 100, elev:65, rolls: 35 engine max power: 1.2 kw fuselageweight: 1.6 kilo

this is the big OMPYak! 2 meter version. I suppose this fly's a bit like the small one. good luck

I would like to create my own aircraft for AFPD. Does anyone know what software would I need to do that. Also, I've noticed there are file types of .tmt .tmd .tmg and .tgo. Can someone tell me what each file type is for or point me in the direction of AFPD info for building aircraft.

Thanks ahead of time for any help!

P.S. I'm looking to build a Tensor 4D!

Hello Maarten,

Thank you for all the valuable information in this forum. It has helped me get rid of some of the video game feel of the sim and start improving my flight skills. (Though I yet have to prove this in the real world once the snow goes away ).

I read that you have a PDF that helps learn 3D maneuvers, and I still have a lot to learn (I am still the chasing airplane stage ). Could you please share a copy with me? My e-mail is alvarogn@yahoo.com

Tx settings in the sim vs. settings on your Tx: If you have different settings for your Tx in the simulator than what you have dialed in on your real transmitter (e.g. Rudder expo is 40% in sim but is 80% on your Tx), what takes precedence? If I want to setup a plane like some of the suggestions here, do I do that in my transmitter or in the simulator itself? Thanks!

Hey Maarten, have you flown the VTOC Extra 330S off the IPACS site? I really like flying that plane but was wondering how realistic it is. Seems pretty easy to fly. Also, what do you set your sim speed to? I've noticed users on the forums saying that around 120 is more realistic. Thanks.

mjemery, I leave expo in the sim itself at zero, I use my tx for all my settings.

seasterling, I leave simspeed at 100, seems pretty realistic to me. I'll try the new extra tomorrow and I'll let you know my settings.

edible engine, where do I find this edge? Thanks
