Malasian Flyer,

Normally you can't compare a 35% extra with a 40% extra, but this Knol extra flies just like it. Although you'll never have the same power unless you put a DA100 with pipes in front, but than the airframe will lose strength. The votec flies realistic, when it comes to flying a 40% in general, but the real Votec flies a bit different.

Fun_fly_3D,

You can set your rates in afpd next to the channel. You can assign a channel by just clicking on it.

Maarten,

Thanks, I am debating between the Votec and the Knol Extra and the Composite Arf Extra. Not easy making a decision. THanks again for your feedback

MalaysianFlyer -> RE: Ask Maarten DeMoor - Setting Up AFP(D) To The Max (8/5/2005 3:38:49 PM)

By the way, are you making the Knol extra for AFPD??

Doc. insane -> RE: Ask Maarten DeMoor - Setting Up AFP(D) To The Max (8/23/2005 11:48:46 AM)

No, but I'm planning to make one this winter, when the weather is to bad to fly. Goodluck with your choice. :-)

davide.pasq -> RE: Ask Maarten DeMoor - Setting Up AFP(D) To The Max (8/23/2005 3:33:41 PM)

hi doc,
can you send me that pdf sheet with 3d?
davide.pasq@alice.it
thank you

MalaysianFlyer -> RE: Ask Maarten DeMoor - Setting Up AFP(D) To The Max (8/23/2005 4:24:47 PM)

Maarten, unfortunately the choice is also governed by my bank balance [:D][:D]

Looking forward to your extra, the Votec is currently my favourite plane on AFPD

RearViewMirror6 -> RE: Ask Maarten DeMoor - Setting Up AFP(D) To The Max (8/23/2005 9:06:27 PM)

Maarten, What kind of servos do you have on this plane? the extrema.

On my real shockflyer I use a Typhoon 6 3D engine with tsunami 10 regulator and an apc 8-3.8 prop. with a 720mah 3 cell lipopack. This gives me a total flightweight of 215 grams.
I have as much deflection as possible on all surfaces. My CG is at 7 cm from the leading edge. ( I'm talking about the IKARUS extrema shockflyer) This is the way I fly the extrema shockflyer from IKARUS.

Maarten,
What is your setup for IMAC flying?
Thanks

jrjohn -> RE: Ask Maarten DeMoor - Setting Up AFP(D) To The Max (9/21/2005 4:05:41 PM)

I dont' understed and how to change the center of ballance on AFPD, there seem to be three areas where you can enter numbers. Is there a way to change the ballance by dragging the center of ballance line that appears on the fus?

If anybody has the parameters to make the EF Yak 54 fly realistic, I'd really appreciate some help setting mine up

john

jrjohn -> RE: Ask Maarten DeMoor - Setting Up AFP(D) To The Max (10/8/2005 3:57:26 PM)

Doc, I downloaded your Yak 54 EF 3D, It doesn't seem as realistic as maybe it could be. Can you give me your specs so I can change the setup. And, where do I find information on how to understand and change the planes myself.........thank you

John

Do you have it set to PPM, not PCM. I can't remember if it just doesn't work if it's on PCM, or tells you the transmitter's not found. It's the only thing I can think of.

3wExtra -> RE: Ask Maarten DeMoor - Setting Up AFP(D) To The Max (10/13/2005 9:37:02 PM)

Multiplex does not have PCM

bpryor -> RE: Ask Maarten DeMoor - Setting Up AFP(D) To The Max (10/13/2005 10:26:32 PM)

Well, I guess that isn't it then. [:)] PM mglavin, a moderator here on RCU. I know he flies Multiplex and uses AFPD, but I'm not sure if he uses the Multiplex on the sim.

3wExtra -> RE: Ask Maarten DeMoor - Setting Up AFP(D) To The Max (10/15/2005 8:12:28 AM)

Please can someone HELP with my issue?[sm=crying.gif] I can not get AFD to pick up my TX which is a multiplex RE 12.

Did you write mglavin as I suggested and ask him? Did you call or write AFP tech support? That seems like your best bet if mglavin coulcn't help you.

Well, I don't know why I'm bothering, but for the third time, did you write mglavin and ask him?

Good, I know he is busy but usually he's good about responding. If it's been awhile, write him again. Also, FYI, this forum is authorized by Ikarus, but is not run by them, it is run by OMP(Ohio Model Products). If you really want official help you need to call or write Ikarus. I can't believe they haven't gotten back to you, they were very responsive when I had a problem. Here's a direct e-mail address to one of their support reps: Fred Boyce - boyce@ikarus-usa.com
