I 'em fly on the DIY network, looks like fun for the first time flyer. Looks everything you need comes with it.

zsl,

Did you look at this plane? http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/758004.asp

I had one a couple of years ago and they fly very nice. Made out of foam so when you crash it only takes a minimal amount of effort to fix.

You can have this thing up and flying in about 30 min, waiting for the battery to charge. The only down side I found with the kit is the charger; but it's great for the beginner.

It comes with a seven cell flat pack and a DC charger. I flew mine with the stock pack for about a month then switched to a 8 cell pack. The 8 cell pack gave it the power for loops and increased the speed.

If you decide to get this one I'd recommend staying with the stock pack until you feel REAL comfortable with flying; don't start off with the larger pack.

The T-Hawk is a fantastic plane. I learnt myself to fly with it, before moving onto a Multiplex TwinStar. Lost it high up in a tree and when it came down, kids ripped it to shreds and stole all the radio gear

Bought one of those for my kid brother as his first r/c plane. Liked it so much that I bought an Aerobird Challenger for myself to fly with him. He was able to fly the Commander out of the box with virtually no help from me at all. Never had problems, even with the plane coming towards him. Maybe playing with r/c cars helps with that, I dunno. Anyway, I love my Challenger and have extra battery packs for both of us now, along with DC field chargers and a portable jump start battery that has dual accessory outlets so we can both charge while we fly. Very happy with both planes!
