Hi guys,

I have got my Aerofly Pro. Deluxe today. Using with my old Graupner MC 12. I liked it very much. ( After FMS, it is out of this World ) As I dont know anything about Real Flight I cannot compare the two sims. I want to practice 3D flights mostly.

I wish everyone a happy new year (and merry christmas) and a sim of his choice.

Regards.

Zafer

I just mailed my original CD and interface to Ikarus-USA so that I can get the upgrade. It seems silly that they want the old one back first. I guess they don't trust us. Too bad as every other software upgrade I've ever paid for didn't require this silly step.

What do you think would happen if I send my old G2 in to them for an upgrade? Think I'd get a rebate from them?

The upgrade maybe something I consider bringing to Toldeo show for an immediate exchange. Why should I lose flying time due to mistrust?

I have the original AFP, and it's a blast to play around with. Here is P-51D "Miss Marilyn II" that I created in AFP:

I have AFP too (not deluxe). I don't really see a need to upgrade at this point. However, the ability to create your own planes seems cool. It looked at the files, but it all seems so cryptic to do. Is there an easier way to do it? Richard, that P51 looks great, BTW!

It's easy to make your own color scheme if the plane loads in textures from an external source. In the case of the Mustang, I downloaded the modified Mustang from rcsim.de and used Photoshop to modify the textures.

Here is Pappy Boyington's Corsair sitting on the deck of an aircraft carrier:

Does the AFP Deluxe come with a controller?

There are two versions: one comes with a controller and the other comes with a cord that plugs into your own transmitter.

So the G2 controller will work? I hate having to drag my TX out and set everything up. It's just easier if you've got a controller that's hooked up all the time. Thanks for your help...
