Since I've started on my own a couple years ago I seem to have collected a small group of guys interested in small (100" and under) gliders and parkflyers in the local soccer pitches/ball fields and school yards. I'm thinking it's time to start a club with the first order of business being a frequency registry so we all know who's where.

In Canada (B.C.) can anyone tell how does one go about starting a club formaly? I have MAAC and most everyone else does too. What's the next step?

I'm not familiar with the setup in Canada but if all else fails you can contact the AMA here in the USA and they will send you guidelines for starting a club. This may help.

Contact your Zone Director; You can locate his address, E-mail Etc. in the Mac Mag.

He should have all the information on starting and registering a club with MAAC.

You may want to contact your provincial Gov't about registering your club under the Societies Act so that if your club gets into debt you can not be held responsible.
