I just found this thread so I thought I'd post a couple of pics of my Mustang. It's nothing too fancy, Just a Hangar 9 Miss America with a YS 110 in the nose with a Keleo scale exhaust system and Lado Retracts. Hope you like it.

Here is my Top Flite ARC.  This is the first plane I have fiberglassed.  There are about 10 coats of paint from Primer to Clear coat.   I have not flown it yet.  It has a DLE 55, Robarts retracts and some minor detailing on the panel lines and cockpit.  The forums indicate the landing gear is really weak so I am looking for a good smooth field to fly it from.  Currently its taking a parking space in the garage.  My girlfriend thinks I'm nuts.

Finally took some pictures. A Byron Originals P-51 powered by a Zenoah G-62 with purr power muffler. Robart main retracts with operational inner doors and Century Jet tailwheel retract that retracts forward like the real thing. Paint scheme is done after Chuck Yeager's Glamorous Glen III.

I'm certainly no expert but I do believe the plane has had a few different paint jobs. If you look at the Glamorous Glen III name it is different in different photos.

Ok, a little internet research for what it's worth. They are two different mustangs.

The one in Texas that is gray in color, serial # 44-63893.

http://www.mustangsmustangs.com/p-51/survivors/pages/44-63893.shtml

And the one that is not painted (aluminum), the one I modeled, serial # 45-11381 that crashed in 2001.

Well I guess I can finally add a little here. It's been great seeing all of the Mustangs I finally got my AeroWorks P-51 put together and am now ready to do the maiden. Taxi tests and range checks went well, and then the wind came up enough I didn't feel like doing a maiden wind trim flight. I put a DA-50 out on the nose and went with the standard setup for servo's as recommended. I did change out the air retract system a little and added a little bit bigger air tank and robart air valves. From what the other guys are saying is it flys very easy and is surprisingly a floater when it comes in to land.

The middle picture is of me and my brother, it was suppose to be a duel maiden day. He just got done with his kit built 'Nightmare'. He beat the wind and it flew beautiful

Hopefully I'll get to post the maiden in-flight pictures before to long

Oh - I almost forgot. My brother found this site and for anyone who needs detail on a scale cockpit based on a Full Scale Mustang this is pretty cool The link takes a little while to load when you first get to the page, but you will first see a black and white shot looking down the right wing and then it starts to fill in in HD color. You can do a complete 360 sweeping view of any part of the cockpit, zoom in, zoom out, rotate Worth it's weight in gold for the little lettering, correct switch labeling etc etc.

Hope you can use it and enjoy it. I went through most of the thread again looking for a link to it already and didn't find one so I hope I didn't miss it and it's just a repeat.

P-51 360 degree cockpit view in HD color

Here are a few shots of my newest Byron P-51. I sold my old one a few months ago and I decided to do the same scheme as the old one. This one has the Quadra 42 with the drive unit. It also has tank drops and the oil cooler door operating with the engine throttle. I have not flown it yet but I probably will in a few weeks I have a few things to do yet.

thanks bob

I forgot to add that I changed the shape of the stab by giving it a little more leading edge rake by adding a balsa leading edge,. I think it looks a little more scale that way. Here are also some pictures of another Byron P-51 I just finished for a friend of mine. I built the 2 together.

thanks bob

Im a great fun of Mustangs. The "no one" in my fleet is a 1/4 scale 112 inch P51D Mustang. Inline engine 100cc ZDZ. German Wabo retracts. The kit is made by a friend here in Sweden.

I have been flying it for five years now. Its a heavy bird (23 kg) and take a lot of space and work to get here to the airfield and fly it, but its a great plane to fly.

I also fly an electric smaller FMS P51D Mustang.
