Thanks for the tips! What motor you running in your TLT-1? Can it handle Brushless? Im guessing it can...

I run an ElectricFly S-600 (550 size motor for airplane, 19 turns!) It has lower rpm but strong torque.. I put big tires on my TLT but didn't find the need to re-gear..

anyone ever have problems with the belted gear box? i plan on getting the TLT and running it stock, other then (maybe) 2.2 wheels and tires, i just dont want to order it and have it not hold up.

edit: i would also put a 55t lathe motor in

Yup, after about 5 months of running, when I get pinned in rocks good it slips...it's agonizing to hear that loud clicking.

Go to e-bay and buy a Stealth, Losi, Evader tranny and mod the TLT chassis to allow it to fit.

I use the Stealth and love it! Small, light, and tuff as nails!

Stock...oh the limitations. Only thing you can do is maybe lengthen the cant. links. I say stretch it.

Thanks for the compliment , but the idea behind the $500 invested is for people that don't have the skills to fabricate or don't want to, and want to get into rock crawling , i just present them my rigs as an example of what can be achieved from bolt ons.

stock shocks , the tobeecraft kit for extra lenght, aprox 2 1/2" increase comes with all the links and driveshats lenghtened, stock tranny only i did lock the diffs and tranny, not the best but this approach like i said is for people that don't want to fabricate or dont't have the skills
