Post your pic's - setups or even just ask questions about the TLT-1 for advice. This is the place to do it.

Cheers.

OK - I'll be the first:

I want to get the MaxClimber. Hopefully be able to order one soon. I do not want to make any custom battery packs for it and want to use my stick packs. I will also get bearings and a clear truck body for painting. I am not sure if I like the SUV body the MaxClimber comes with. Will know for sure when i see it in person.

I would like to see pictures of everyones TLT-1 and please post your setup and what hop-ups or mods you have done. Thanks!

Nice Studdy... Glad there is a dedicated thread for these...
I too would like to know the part number on that...

I just Mounted a new body on my TLT... It's actually a RS body from a car I bought for my Neighbor's son for X-mass. LOL... I know steeling kids toys... LOL.. Actually, it was a display and I got it for $18 and found out the steering sero was busted. It's the same size as the stock body so I figured I'd give it a shot. Only problem is the bats don't fit all that well if it's a stick pack so i have a 7.2v MiniT pack in it. For now...

Looks nice though... Here is my TLT as a Jeep, then as the Stock body and my setup...

Hope you like it...

Well - talked to wife and she gave me the go ahead on ordering the TTLT-1 MaxClimber. So making my list on everything I need.

I am on tight budget so just going to get cheap servos for now. I saw posted somewhere that someone was using the Futaba S3003 Servo - http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&W=000401010&I=LXH288&P=K - Any one else use these servos for the TLT-1? I am going to do the 4 wheel steering. So figure get 2 of these with the servo Y adaptor.

Do I need anything else to do the 4 wheel steering??

Thanks!!!

OK - here it is - assuming I can use the cheap servo this is what I am ordering --- I am on tight budget so will be using the Traxxas XL-1 ESC that I already have. I will have to wait and get a better ESC later.

TLT-1 MaxClimber
2 Futaba S3003 Servos
Futaba Y adaptor to connect 2 servos
Venom 19t motor (cheapest priced 19t I can find with bearings)
Bearings

Can anyone else think of what else is a MUST to run this thing?? Looks like I will have a complete RTR when I am done. I already have a radio and RX to use.

THANKS!

Hey Study, I'm using a 3003 servo in the back. It's not as good as my hi-tec but it works. I had to push it a little with my controller gains in order to get full turning radius though. Do you have a 3 chanel radio? If you do then no need to get the Y splitter as long as it has linear servo movement on the third chanel and steering mixing.

As for the motor, i'm assuming you are going to use it as a basher based on your other posts and since you are making a custom crawler anyway. If that is the case, I wouldn't make your ride hight any higher or you will have a very top heavy truck. That's the bad part about having the battery all the way at the top of the truck...

Looks like you got it all there except the controler and RX so good to go...

I listed a controller and RX.

In begining - YES just go out bash around. Later - who knows. Not going to dump much into it unless I make my own stuff for it on my mill or lathe. For now just bone stock.

I bought these for my tlt and they work good, put a set of proline mashers on them, it gave me almost an inch more ground clearance, and it climbs way better.

As for motors, Go with the Magnetic Mahem or the Integy Lath motor...

Addict, Do you have a problem with them hitting the body of the truck? That's the problem I have with mine. It actually works better with normal size 2.2 Ti
