Live in the district? OMG, get over it people...I was an AMA member in Okinawa, Japan (also Philippines). What distict is that? T.U.F.F. is almost nationwide now. It is not the district, but attitude. Of course, you may have to belong to the local club to fly at their site, but you still belong to TUFF and another club. HMMMM, what could be better?

OK you guys and gals I am delighted to see that a thread that was generated by my son YNOT is still going strong as of 5/4/08, almost 3 1/2 years, has had 452 replies and almost 23,000 hits. This all got started when I wrote a letter to the AMA with my concerns about how the "Old Farts" were still living in the past and were refuseing at all cost to look forward in the hobby. Boy did that scare up a pile of AMA beehives. Should for any reason you not be familar with the original letter, go back to page one, post one and read the letter that was posted 12/31/2004. What was true then is still true today, the newbes are still run off by the 'know it all guys' and AMA for all it 'chest beating' is still just insurance, plane (pun intended) old insurance and nothing else. After 31 years I am no longer in the business, I am also now 65, retired and plan on doing a lot more flying once the heat goes away.

Cloudancer3 living in Houston has it advantages, it's call Ritchs Brew. Dickie and his son Randy have been brewing fuel here in Houston for as long as I remember and when I had the shop (31 years) that was the only fuel I sold and could sell a gallon of 10% for $12.99. Randy is always at Toledo with a tractor trailor full of fuel. If you can't make Toledo go to www.ritchsbrew.com or call 713-661-5458. I feel sure they can ship you fuel if you can use 4 or more gallons. It's a great fuel and your net landed cost may very well be below what you are paying now. Tell him Ed from Trains & Planes asked you to call.
