i have a tower hobbies 420 charger. it discharges and charges by a timer between 3 and 5 amps, think that's right. anyhow, i have just been going by the times on the box for charging. sometimes the batteries get really hot, even though i charged them at the same amount of time as the last time. and yes i do discharge them before i charge them, but once again no way of telling how much.

my question is, can i monitor the charge thru temp? i have a duratrax temp gage so i can monitor it. but how acurate will it be? as long as i use the same temp everytime should be good right?

i charged a battery yesterday, 1500mah for 20 mins, that's 3 mins less than they said too and it got up to 105 when it was done.

is that too hot? i have trouble believing that hot could be good for it
