Can Anyone tell me how long the shelf life is on gas? Any suggestions on brand I have a superstar select .40la o.s. engine The manual said to use 10 percent

are you talking gas or glow fuel? the latter will keep indefinatly if kept in a sealed container in a cool dry place away from sunlight

Yeah, you mean glow fuel. 10% or 15% should be fine for your bushing engine. I would run fuel that is from a major supplier that clearly lists the contents, especially oil content and type. I would run a synthetic, castor mix, keep that LA from running too lean, and it should give you great service.

I have an .40 LA for 3 years now. Run a cheap 15%nitro and 20% castor thru it. I use the same fuel in my T-maxx and rustler. My gas is almost two years old and works great, just make sure you put the lid on tight as the fuel will evaporate

will also draw water from the atmosphetre if left open. always keep it closed tight even between fillings at the field.

That is a bushing engine. 5 - 10 % nitro is fine and pure castor or a blend will be fine, 20 % oil content. Don't use all synthetic.
