Hi hilleyja,

The nVidia GeForce 7300LE is entry level graphics card (LE stands for light edition)

Take a look at this comparison between and the 7300LE and the 9800 pro … http://www.gpureview.com/show_cards.php?card1=388&card2=31

Regards,

Tony

Thank you, that is the web site I needed access to.

Well, it looks like I made the correct decision. This afternoon I ordered a Radeon X800 128 PCI-E card. I really did'nt want to spend a lot of money because Real Flight is the only application I have that needs a high-end video card. For less than $65.00 it looks like I have an even better card than the 9800 Pro is.

(This info is for the x800 SE (AGP 8X) -- the card I ordered is an ATI RADEON X800 SE 128MB GDDR3 PCI-EXPRESS; Memory Clock Speed 450 MHz, RAMDAC Clock Speed 425 MHz .)
ATi Radeon X800 SE
Core Clock: 425 MHz
Memory Clock: 400 MHz (800 DDR)
Memory Bandwidth: 25.6 GB/sec
Shader Operations: 3400 Operations/sec
Pixel Fill Rate: 6800 MPixels/sec
Texture Fill Rate: 3400 MTexels/sec
Vertex Operations: 637.5 MVertices/sec

ATi Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB
Core Clock: 380 MHz
Memory Clock: 340 MHz (680 DDR)
Memory Bandwidth: 21.76 GB/sec
Shader Operations: 3040 Operations/sec
Pixel Fill Rate: 3040 MPixels/sec
Texture Fill Rate: 3040 MTexels/sec
Vertex Operations: 380 MVertices/sec

I just ordered G3 and was wondering if my computer will be able to play the simulator well. I downloaded the demo last night and the demo freezes controls on my computer after about 3 minutes. It makes it so I cannot make inputs on the plane or heli. I can reset the plane or heli but as far as throttle or cyclic inputs they do not work. I can exit the game fine and my computer does not freeze. maybe it is my keyboard. I have a logitech bluetooth wireless keyboard.
My computer is new and it has the following:
ASUS A8R32-MVP Deluxe motherboard
AMD 4800 X2 dual core processor
2 GB RAM
Crossfire video card setup with one Ati 1900XTX 512 MB card and one Ati 1900 crossfire 512 MB card
Soundblaster X-FI sound card
Windows XP OS
I built it strictly for high end gaming but I also fly planes and Helis so I decided to get G3 so I can try new things without worrying about spending money on crashes.
If anyone has any answers or input please let me know.
Thanks

G3 comes with it's own controller. It is required to run the software. The software checks to see if the controller you bought with the software is connected, if it is not, the software will not run. Copyright protection that works.

When G3 starts, it checks to see if the InterLink+ controller is plugged in. If it is, G3 starts. If it isn't, G3 doesn't.

I am running a very strong PC setup with a 19" monitor. Control feel is good but I want a bigger field of view for serious realism and practice. If I bought a high end projector and projected a 10' image would that give me the "real" field of view I am looking for?

Thx, Bob...

it all works you just need to play took me 3 days to figure it out...

Download Realflight G3 from someone or purchase it
run the emulator that comes with it along side with SmartpropoPlus
enable ppjoy extension on the program than launch the emulator for g3
map your channels depending on your controller
for the WK-0701 controller that came with my Walkera Dragonfly 68B helicopter i map channels as such

x1 = 18
y1 = 6
X2 = 2
Y2 = 0

took me a day to figure that out...
after that go calibrate and play G3 with your own controller....

i am using a beta version of smartpropoplus sent to me by the developer which supports PCM decoding for the walkera 0701 receiver most old receivers use PPM so just select generic(PPM)

Hey Jaafit,
I thinking about buying the RFG3, but I have a HP AMD64 processor with 512MB RAM. Is this enough to run the simulator smoothly? If anyone else reads this post and runs the G3 with this same setup, please let me know how it works.
Thanks

Recently purchased from a friend, RealFlight G2 software and controller. When I tried to install, I found that the serial number or code that was supposed to be on the CD case was missing. My friend can't find it. Is there anyway around this?
