This may sound silly, but I am using the APC 15 x 4 3d prop. Am looking for a recomendation on a alluminum spinner that will fit. I have tried Dave Brown's but it won't fit the unique pitch of the prop. A 14 X 6 fits fine.

I run the 15 x 4 W on my Saito 100. I don't use a spinner, just a spinner nut. On the Saito 100 the prop shaft threads are not cut far enough to tighten the nut without a spinner backplate acting as a spacer. So I used the plastic backplate off an old spinner, cut it down to the same size as the prop hub, and use that as a spacer behind the prop. I also plan to use a spinner nut on my Edge.

Glad you could use my suggestions. Hope it works as well for you. Be sure to give us a detailed flight report. Not many of these flying yet as far as I can tell. Wish I had more time to work on mine. Probably won't get to the field until Mid Feb.
    Regards, Robert.

can some of you guys put a straight edge on the bottom of your wing halves..... parallel to the leading edge and parallel to the trailing edge
both my wings are curved down..... ......looks like about 1/8" space between the straight edge and the wing in the middle of the wing?? they are both the same....I know this is not supposed to be this way!!!...

I just checked mine. They appear to have about a 1/16 - 1/8 upward curve on both wings at both the leading edge and trailing edge. I would not be concerned with a slight curve of 1/8" or less. IT just adds a little Dihedral or Anhedral in your case, and you'll never notice 1/8" worth when flying. What would concern me would be any twist in the wings, resulting in wash-out or wash-in. I checked mine with my GP Laser Incidence meter, and they are dead on. I also checked the incidence relationship between main wing and Stabilizer. It is 0 - 0. I asked AW about the designed incidence setup for wings and engine crank shaft center line. They replied everything should be at 0-0-0. And the engine should have 2 degrees right thrust. I will check my engine when I get it.
    Keep 'em in sight
    Robert

Aerosplat.... so yours are curved the exact opposite way that mine are??....hhhhmmmm.......they do seem to be curved not twisted...I did do a lot of checking on a flat 4' X 8' table. oh well, I guess mine zigged and yours zagged...does anyone have any that are straight ??
I am going to the Pasadena California hobby show tomorrow Saturday Jan. 19..... other then the bent wings, ....the stab that flew apart,..... the big heavy landing gear,.... the over-weight-heavy aluminum tube..... and the funky way the tube is secured.... and all that extra weight....is there anything you guys want me to ask Aero-works about this plane ?????.......

I have one with one straight wing and one slightly bowed down.
we have a YS 91 with 30% fuel it turns an APC 15-8 prop 9200 RPM, it;s not broken in yet but i suspect it will turn a little more when it is. i am going to try an APC 16-4 on mine when it's ready, but a 15-6 should hover it nicely and climb good on verticals. i have an ultra stick 40 with an YS 63 on it, i was using an APC 12-6 and it has unlimited vertical but when i put an APC 13-4 it was incredible on verticals, you just have to be careful not yo over rev the motor.

I just got back from the pasadena hobby show.
here is what i found out:
they had on display a local persons 60/90 edge (they did not bring one for displeay)...
it had a ys 91 in it
it had nothing lightened...stock...one elevator servo mounted as per the directions......wood dowel and all....
no flying wires on the tail for support. I was told the owner has already flown the crap out of it with no stab support.
The tank was pushed against the forward servo tray, it was still about 2 inches from being against the wing tube.
one wing appeared to be straight ,and the other appeared to bend up at the end...they said it's not a big deal...they also said the wings were built on a jig...I told them my jig must have been bent:p
the rudder servo was mounted in the stock location...the throttle servo was mounted back by the elevator servo and the 6v battery was mounted on the bottom just behind the elevator servo...they said it balanced perfectly with no added weight and it weighed 8 lb...(i don't believe the weight!!!! but that's what they said)

Completed mine this week, OS 1.08, with pitts style muffler, 9202 servos, built per instuctions except I drilled and tapped the wing bolts for 4/40 screws, and replaced the engine mount with a Dave Brown that fit the engine. Completed weight 9lb 6oz!!!!
Test flying it tomorrow if the weather permits, will post on how it flys......Slowfly

I would like to see some b4 i start construction.

Hey guys this is a little off the subject but just wanted some opinions i have used ys 4 strokes for 10 years and always wrap the fuel tanks with strapping tape to reenforce the tanks > A friend of mine told me to always do this with ys motors because of the fuel tank pressure that is created so the tape keeps tanks from coming apart at the seams Have you guys heard of this before or is it not neccessary ???

jdan.......The tank was not the one that comes with the kit.
This plane at their booth however was **NOT** assembled by aero-works, it was a local hobbyists plane.
If we go with dual elevator servos in the rear, rudder and throttle servo in the rear servo tray......I don't see why we can't eliminate that first tray altogether. We could then put the tank farther back or even under the wing tube ..(change tanks? )
By the way I was at the Hayes booth and their tanks are way lighter than the tank in the kit!!
