So......Randy........you had kneesles huh!!! Good thing you didn't have smallcXX .........!! Sorry, that came from an old joke! Anyway, got my TT .39 running on a pipe and the best I have seen so far is 17,200 on a 9x6APC and 18,200 on an 8X7APC. Thats on 30%. Am happy with that as the old Evo .36 turned the 8x7APC 17,200 so I have a 1000RPM gain already. I see we can't fit the N series props on that shaft.

Keith,
You and Terry are what I call dedicated flyers... middle 30s??? I thought that fuel froze up solid about 40 degrees!! Houston, texas is a whole 'nother world compared to Indiana.
Mike
PS My new carb from Brillelli (Scott) should be here next week and I finally get to maiden (de-flower?? ) my JBB.

IT was a fine day to get the JBB out and in the air. didn't even have to use the transmitter glove .
And the snow is melted enough that you didn't need the skies . but tomorrow you might need the floats cause the ground is still is frozen and it's gonna rain 1-2 inches

the flying fever is getting stronger i just need some nice warm weather to help get me going. i have been a little lazy this winter and need to get busy doing some small repairs so everything will be ready when the weather breaks.
i spoke to chris at east rc by email yesterday and he told me the proto types for the spoilers are on the water and should be here soon. if they are right they should start production soon. he didn't say how long and i don't think he realy knows at this time but it shouldn't be long i hope. i don't know about you guys but a ARF Spoiler is enough to get the flying fever going for me. if i have a spare spoiler laying around i won't mind spanking the one i have a little harder (spoiler that is Barnes). all of you big boy lovers need to email, call, pm chris to let him know how bad we want these planes so he will keep pushing to get them done faster. . keep us posted Chris if you are reading this.

Hey Randy,

Good to hear from you. I just got word from the plant that we should have the prototypes on US dry land in 4 days. We will immediately test these for performance and strength and maybe even drop a sneak peek right here. As previously mentioned, there will be a contest involved which will probably be hosted on another site. I'll fill Randy in on this and let him do the steering The current plan is to officially unleash the beast at SEFF, which will be from May 1st-4th. We'll need all the guys attending the event to help us score "Product of the Year" there. It's gonna be a blast!

Chris

chris, are you saying we could have planes my May or just showing the proto types at the SEFF show? also i am with Keith Barnes on the color thing i love the splat and my orange spoiler. i can take no credit for the scheme on my plane, Tim Garland built the plane and came up with the colors and scheme. the plane he built flys great and is very easy to see in the air, and that is what is most important. a pretty plane on the ground that flys like a brick with a color scheme that doesn't stand out in the sky is just no good.

several of the guys that gave to this deal for hummer have called or emailed me with concern so i will comment now. i emailed iceman a few months ago and asked what was going on. he called and said he was working on a way to get the plane to hummer. i asked him to post here what he was doing so everyone would feel better but he did not. again iceman called me a few weeks ago and said he was sending the card for me to sign and send to the next person on the list, but i have not received it. he also said he had it worked out in the town Hummer lives in for the local shop to give him the plane. i ask him to come on this forum and fill in all of us that gave to this project and he said he would, but has not. i felt that iceman was trying to do the right thing but i am not sure now, at least he is not handling it very well. ice if you are reading this come on here and explain what is going on and please take the action you said you would to get this deal done. if any of you other guys know what is going on here please let the rest of us know.

i do hope we get this worked out soon too. i have been involved in a few of these deals when a group of guys go in together to help some one who needs it or deserves it and have allways come out feeling good about myself and the rest of the people involved. people are good and mean well in most cases i have found so lets keep the faith this time and maybe it will work out.

now! how about those spoilers? haha! chris do you have a GPS on the proto types so we can know the very spot they are in? we do need some pics and a flight report.

The GPS coordinates are N45.54069 W122.67138 . Just kidding. You guys will definitely be the first to know. Can't wait. One good thing, though...we got some Outlaws in today and I grabbed up a Red, White and Blue one. Gonna' start working on that pretty quick. It's going to be nice not having to sand and bevel those firewalls anymore and see 45 bucks worth of balsa on the shop floor

Hello guys. I put a new motor on the ol' Big Boy (OS120AX). We got to fly a little last Sunday and the Big Boy likes the AX better than the YS I had on it. It hovers much better now and it is much quieter. Considerably more power with the 17x6 APC I am using. I am going to try a XOAR 17x6 as soon as I can get hold of one. I may try a 16x8 too to see if it spools quicker. Me and PROPNUT were the only ones brave enough to go up in the 40 degree weather. PROPNUT's Seagull Ultimate is flying swell. Harriers are outstanding for a small plane (can you call a 120 a small plane these days?). It looks like we may get a good weekend coming up. Get your stuff ready!

If someone goes to JP Hobbies up there, let me know if he has any Xoar 17x6 or 16x8. I put a 27x10 on the big extra and I like it pretty good.

Doug,

I was at JP's Saturday and he is still carrying the XOARS but I did'nt notice the sizes. I really like those props, I run a OS160 with a XOAR 18 x 6 mounted on my spoiler and boy, it really pulls good.
Ive been building some other planes this winter that I plan to use the Xoar on.
