I recently obtained a Steam Schneider Sport 1.20 Deluxe kit on eBay that was supposed to be 'complete', however it did not include the floats. Does anyone know of a source for the floats for this plane?

I believe Sea Commander manufacture exactly the right ones for your plane. I have the Schneider Sport 60 on their floats and they work great.

Does anyone out there have these floats? I talked to Seamaster, but they said that they have never heard of Schneider floats, which is a bad sign, but could sell me some generic floats. I would like either obtain the floats that came with the kit or perhaps build them if possible. Any ideas would be welcomed.

Schneider is a style of float, not a brand. Look up Sea Commander on Google and you will see them. I have heard there are difficulties getting them lately but they are a very good product although not cheap but worth the wait. There are lots of generic floats out there which will work well also.
The Schneider style float is a more streamlined design where the tail of the float comes to a vertical edge, kind of like the rear end of a canoe.

Winglift:

I have a couple of sets of used original Stream Schneider Sport 120 floats. They have the brackets attached and are in fairly rough shape.

Measure the distance on your plans from the nose of the float to the hole in the front and rear brackets. If one set comes close maybe we can work something out.

Jim,
I already know that the recommended schneider floats for this particular model is 42". Unless you have modified them then they should be okay.

These are the original 42" floats, not modified, but they have the brackets glued on in different locations. (One set has them further back than the other set.) I need you to measure where the brackets need to be according to your plans. If they are not in the right place it would be a major problem to move them.

Okay. Approximately 17" from the tip to the first bracket and 29" to the second bracket.
