Hi, I am a noob when it comes to RC Cars I am an RC plane guy. But sometimes the weather makes flying impossible, and I need something to have fun with.

I have now decided to buy a Team Losi LST. I only heard good things about this car, is it true?? BUT the thing is it costs $ 1120 bucks here in Norway yes $1120 and that is the cheapest web site in Norway. I just seen it on Horizon Hobby for $ 599. DAM YOU ARE LUCKY

But my dad is going over too the US in a few weeks, how big is the box. Can he put it in a standard Samsonite bag? He will only have one bag with him . If its too big I think ill buy a ticket for New York, and buy one. And still have money left

Ditch the box, take the tires off and put it in the bag, it 'should' fit that way...

I'd say put it in a duffel as carry on but there are too many sharp objects on an LST to allow on board these days. You could put someones eye out with one of those cvd's for instance

Well, I would be 100% sure you can't take it as carry on for multiple reasons.... #1 its TOO BIG. Words like NITRO, engine, and soooooo many other things prevent this also.

Plane, shipping isn't too cheap; however, definitely cheaper than buying one there. I would definitely look at buying it here and having it shipped. Not sure on your import taxes, but I am sure there is a way for you to get it for less than $1200

Well Tax in Norway is at 25%, and the import tax is high too, so shipping it to my house is not an option. I did not mean to get my dad to have it as an carry on, for that its way too big. I hoped it could go in the cargoroom, with all of the luggage.

Where is the cheapest web site to buy the car?

Thanks for all the replys

They retail for $1200 her in AUS as well, I paid $1125 for mine, and could have bought one in USA and paid $80US for shipping and it still would have only cost me $850 AUS if they didn't catch it in customs and make me pay sales tax and import duty on it.

Here in AUS, Used parts don't attract customs duty.

Take it apart and ship it in two shoe boxes as used parts.

i got mine for $584.54 but if your gonna break it up and ship it, take the A-Arms off and put them in a box big enough to hold the tires on the A-Arms then have the electronics, manuals etc.. as carry ons

This site www.gshobby.com/sitecarts/sitecarts.cgi sells one for $540. It's a 27 mhz with either a red or blue body. click on the SEARCH button on the left and search LST.
