Those Myth Buster guys have the life. Did you see them driving the Olds over a dirt ramp? That radio they used looked like a 14MZ.

Sorry, Im a ham... Ham came from a magazine called Home Amateur Mechanic many years ago, back in the days when they used a spark gap transmitter to send CW (continious wave).

Well, thats the way it was told to me anyway. I never heard the ham fisted thing before, but there are maybe 3 or 4 theories in all. I buy the magazine theory because so many old timer hams have told me that one. But hey, I also here that MG was started in a small shop called Mac's Garage, but who know's. lol That one sound weird to me, as I always thought that British Lealand was the maunf, not some dude named Mac ! hahaha !

Disagree, A ping pong ball because it is so light will be slowed more by wind resistance. At a drop of 3' you may not notice the difference. Drop them both from 50' and the tennis ball will hit first. A bowling ball and a golf ball would be a better side by side comparison.

(no offense to those who are named bob. my version is just a figment of my imagination, and can change to whatever i want, whenever i want, however i want. (though he usally remains dumb, fat, ugly, and stupid. )

yes bowling balls do bounce

Last time I checked, when we where messing around with them and dropped them from ten feet onto part of our driveway(now this was when I was younger) it didnt bounce at all. For so reason a 15lbs ball doesnt seem to want to bounce all that much from a 10 foot drop onto pavement. But I'm sure if you added a trampoline to that equation then yes it would bounce. Hehehehe oppsssss. Might have to try that sometime.

They most likely don't bounce in your dirt driveway.
They bounce awsome off a smooth concrete floor. Almost as good as a basket ball...till they break.

This thread is slowing down......

A cubic yard of air weighs about 2lbs a sea level.

At lift off the space shuttle weighs 4.5 million pounds.

The DC in DC-10 stand for Douglas Commercial.

If you were to fly around the moon the distance is about the same as a New York to London flight.

Back in the old "horse & carriage" days, the average speed of a 1-horse-drawn cab in NY City was 7 MPH. In 2007, the average speed of a 300hp taxicab in NY City is 7 MPH.

That's progress?

Dave

if you blink once every 5 seconds thats 12960 times in a full day

and the average person chews 12 times before swallowing.
