Hey guys, and gals!! Just finished my Ford GT body. Did it the old school Gulf racing design. Let me know what you think! First real masking and airbrush job!

Thanks,
Jeff

Thanks!

Here are some updated shots with the stickers I had to make and print out cause you can't find Shell Stickers anywhere, or at least I couldn't!

Debating about trying to sell it and try again. It has its minor flaws and I'm an annoying perfectionist! Wonder if anyone would be interested in buying it!

That looks awesome. I see your car is electric. How did you get the wheels to fit right? Did you use the 3mm offset wheeels as recommended by HPI?

I ask because I wanted a GT shell my for TC4 but it takes 190mm bodies and the GT body is 200mm.

Correct ... that car is a TC4 actually. I'm basically running the exact set up that you're wanting to. It's a 200 mm HPI GT body. I bought a set of 26mm with the 3mm offset tires/wheels to make it 'look' like it fit better. One warning though ... I bought HPI 26mm tires & rims and the diameter of the wheel shaft is slightly off, therefore the wheel lugs are different sizes. The TC4's wheel lug will fit inside the hole for the rim, but you can't get a socket in there to tighten it thoroughly, so it's kind of a pain. I also had to reem out the center of the rim slightly to allow it to fit on the slightly larger Assocaited wheel shaft.

Good luck ... let us see it when you complete it!

For the decals I used some white sticker paper I found at Office Depot. I designed the stickers myself in Illustrator, then just printed out various sizes, cut em' out and stuck them on. The sticker paper isn't the best int he world, but it works.
