Doesn't matter if they are glued....just put them on the other side of the car, rim and all........

They have these kits locally for $49.99.......I might just get me one.

Hey guys. I'm new here.
Been looking at an MT-5 (& Firehammer too), but I think the Firehammer - with a Walmart Hummer body - and some big T-Maxx tires or something else would be cool too. Cheaper prolly also. I can make the convertors easy. I have access to a machine shop every day all day. 8-)

The MT-5 tires are 8" tall. What has tires that big other then the MT-5. The MT-5 tires are like $160 to replace with NO RIMS. YIKES!!!
Putting those one would just up the cost of a firehammer to the MT-5....

firehammer, yes it is. I haven't had the car long enough to have trouble with the diff but reading the earlier posts showed that the silastic seemed to protect the diff from rocks getting caught between the diff and chassis if you do this, make sure you do the front of the diff as I recon this is where the rocks get caught because of the direction of rotation of the axle. I think the back side of the diff doesn't need protecting but I did it anyway.

and silastic is easy enough to clean off

All of your vehicales look great. I had been watching (trolling?) these forums for months trying to decide on a nitro truck to buy when I came across this discussion about the MT-5. I liked what I saw and never looked back at the nitros again. Ive had my truck for about 2 months now and I really like it. Still a work in progress as I have some more parts coming (cable brakes for the front, twin air off-road air filter, tuned pipe, rollbar and 80.00 rear cable brake set off ebay!) I have built a dual tailpipe exhaust for it and am now trying to build a front bumper and a wheelie bar.
