    Status: offline     		I just bought a "Backup" just incase! I really love this plane with a Saito 100 !!!!!!

    The amount of GS70's on eBay over the past 3 or 4 months has to be in the hundreds! Wait till everyone starts BAD Mouthing Accel over this plane.

    It may end up costing Accel more "in bad publicity" by dumping them on eBay than just trashing the entire lot!

    I am very happy with mine. The only thing I have done is CA the wing saddle to harden it up.

    Status: offline     		Any one has this airplane set up with a super tigre 90, I did not see any report of flying performance with this engine, any info will be apreciated, I will hate to install a expensive engine in a plane that may have fail on the air. thanks.

    AMEN! For normal flying, the ST 90 works fine. But during low level 3D flying when the engine absolutely positively has to work......the ST 90 isn't reliable enough.

    After several low altitude sudden flameouts that should have rekitted my UCD60, I finally gave up on both of my ST 90s for 3D stuff.

    Status: offline     		Yea you right this is the 3er time I have a new one in replacement because flame outs and bad carb and broken and missing parts in the T90, I will buy a OS or YS.
    What you guy recomend for hard 3D low wing load?
    I am open for any sugestion. Thanks.

    The ST carb is not a good match for today's over-powered 3D capable models.

    In order to get a low enough idle that you can actually land the plane, the low-speed needle needs to be richened up significantly -- which produces such a rich mid-range that the engines won't transition reliably or hold constant RPMs between about 1/4 and 2/3 throttle.

    There are those who will argue that I'm wrong and that I just don't know how to adjust an ST engine -- but trust me, I've looked at the carby and the problem is *obvious*. I suspect that those who claim there is no problem have never actually tried to fly 3D with one -- or think that 3D means prop-hanging at 500 feet with a plane so heavy it needs full throttle to do so :-)

    The ST *can* be a great 3D engine, but you need to modify the carb or (better still) just replace it with a decent one.

    Status: offline     		I will have to agree with you, this is the 3er time the hobbyshop replaced this engine for me for free, because of diferent problems, but is true up to the last statement you made. I had to rich the low end so much that was ridiquilous, but work fine for a while the start was a nightmare the first wormup transitions where terrible, but them stabilize and work's without a hip, so I was so happy that I transfer the engine to a pattern (swallow) airplane, work fine but other problem develop. the carb is trash, you are 100% right I had 3 st90 to prove it.

    Have one on my Kat70 and is just about as perfect as it gets for
    flat out 3D. Light, powerfull, a little expensive but worth every
    penny.

    Status: offline     		Saito 100 is one of the best engines in the market light and strong, and can be mounted in a wide range of airplanes.
    I been flying last season YS and I'm so please you have no idea. got a funtana with a ys120 and what a power house, the 110 is a monster but I need to compare wt with the saito 100 because of the wing load. thanks for the super advise.

    I reinforce the fuselage with CA and the cartrige, and cut the monokote on the wing with a solder to avoid damage the wood (if I use a exato knife, one ply of 121 fiber glass and 30 minute epoxi. the landing gear had been mounted to facilitate construction.

    Status: offline     		Here's a modification I made to my Kat70 after reading about it elsewhere. I removed the ailerons and fuselage strakes and replaced them with full span ailerons that were 1/2" wider in the chord from the wing tip to the fuselage. I drew up the plans for the ailerons and built them from pieces of square and rectangular stock.

    I only managed to get in one flight before the weather crapped out, but it seemed to harrier much smoother with very little wing rock as compared to before. Might have a winner with this mod.

    The wing's been reinforced with ply braces, and after the last crash, I joined the wing and fuse permanently. It's a beater, but it makes for a great 3D trainer. Does some nice knife edge stuff with very little coupling.

    It has a Saito 82 for power, running on 30% heli fuel.

    Status: offline     		Im thinking a TT 61 pro for mine.. Here ive had this plane for months and have yet to set it up! Its all built but I need to put in servos and buy me an engine! I love my katana 40 but I recently put it up for sale so I can afford to buy some gear for this 70!

    Im happy to say,ididnt baby it either,
    Igot a Evo 1.0 on it,with a 14x4w APC prop,Futaba 3151s all around
    Flys great!
    2 clicks of down trim was all it took.
    Cant wait for next weekend

    Status: offline     		you don't need to modify the super tigre carb, the engine problem is that he don't like hi nitro that's all, I got mine with a mix of haft gallon of methanol, half of 15% nitro, and 6oz of castor oil. and the engine work good, in the begining he cof and cof and them work like a champ, do the low end first and them the hi for last.
    and fiber glass the wing or get ready for a disaster. My 2 cents.
