I got a 11.1v 2200mah battery with my kit and it came with a dedicated Li-po charger. What's the longest anyone has charged their lipo on this charger. I'm afraid to charge it more than an 1 1/2hrs for fear of this thing blowing up. I've had it on as long as 1 hr and 45min, and it never did heat up. I don't have a digital voltmeter and my analog says it's close to 11 volts. Will the green light ever switch on with this charger? Mine stayed red the entire charging process for that 1 1/2 hr charge.

Hi!

I once had it charging for 2h 20mins, but that was when I used a dwm to constantly measure the voltage. When it reached 12.6Volts i removed it from the charger. I also use a ceramic canister to charge my lipos to prevent any fire hazards. The led on the charger never turned green.
BTW lipos actually get cooler when they are reaching full charge.

I've got the 1800mah lipo and the same charger "green light/red light".

First charge was 2h 45m and the light turned from red to green.

I have never run the battery down before stopping due to heat on the motor or adjustments to the heli. but I ran at hover speeds for 18m total. Recharging took 1h 40m -> 2h....and the light changed from red to green.

Battary never gets warm, let alone hot and the voltometer registers 11.2 - 11.3 volts when the light goes green.

I've recharged 17 times.

shortest charge time was 1h 5m after running the heli a number of times on the stand...maybe 5m total.

Well, I just recieved mine and so far it hasn't been a good experience. The battery pack for the radio doesn't work, so know I have to buy a new pack and hope this fixes my problem. other than that the everything else looks to be in good condition.

my only advice is to ditch the charger and buy a digital one like the triton. it is huge insurance against unwanted fires and damage.

I experienced the same problem. I discovered there is a torque compensation in the transmitter which increases tail-pitch with increasing throttle. Dip-switch no.6 on the transmitter determines the direction of this extra pitch. Mine was the wrong way. You should check (with disconnected motor) if when you increase throttle the tail increases or decreases pitch.

I had another go today
Fairly windy Beaufort 3
I replaced my batteries in TX to ensure no glitches from there
I had one ...
Welll I still had one glitch where it cut out and the throttle just stays at the level it is
I tried hectically to reduce left stick power but to no avail It Slightly tipped the heli
It just does not seem to respond sometimes ??its the TX or RX ?
I dont know
I think it might be the BEC in the receiver combo ?

Anyway
Even thoguh i took the rc out the box saves 15 Gr. It still gets hot after 10 -15 mins ON

Here are some pics of the new settup ..
ANY SUGGESTIONS WELCOME !!!
I cant trust my rx/tx ..:O(

i tried to fly my walkera 35 for the first time after replacing all
electronics that came with it. My problem is when i tried to fly
it the whole body spins too. i tried to manuever the tail pitch
and with no effect. Is the anything i should do, like in my set-up.
I tried increasing the sensitivity but still doing the same thing.
I am not sure if this was even the problem. Thanks..

Are you using the original gyro in your setup? If so, there is a reversing switch that could fix the problem with the tail spinning

Replaced the whole electronics?
What you mean ?
Which bit does the tail speed mixing now ?

I see this a big problem in trying to replace the electronics ??
How is mixing done if I change the combo receiver to seperates rx/speedcontroller/gyro (keep org.)
Easiest is to get the brushless walkera settup ?
I am as lost on this as everyone i guess
Cant be replacing electric or can we ?
And if how >??
Dont wanna get a tx and rx and speedcontroller and crystals and ....
might as well start new then ...

You can plug a new speed controller into channel three of your RX, that will work, or you have probably blown the fet in the speed controller (it will prob be the one on the right if you are looking at the reciever upside down) if you want to replace it with a better quality one, then use SPP80N03S2L-05 MOSFET Farnell part number 3576784 , you will have to cut the tab off!!

Please can someone advcie is this really going to help ?
I have to many glitches in my rx ..

Dip-switch 5 on the Tx turn Revo-mixing on/off. No. 6 is direction of Revo-mix.

Hi,

so do you mean if I want to change to seperates I disable dip 5 and the mixing then can be done by the new controller ?
