2.3mm pinion?

What pitch, size, number of gears, etc.

Other than that, let me know if you find a good source. The only source I found was Taiwa pty ltd, who supply a pack of 3 for about AU$6, but they are intended for the T-REX so I'm not sure if they will be suitable for me. THey might be similarly unsuitable for you.

They also do 3.2mm Pinions.

Each set comes with 3 sizes...
http://www.wattsuprc.com.au/product_detail.asp?pid=HZ020 2.3mm
http://www.wattsuprc.com.au/product_detail.asp?pid=HZ021 3.2mm

They fix to the shaft with a grub screw.

Both photo's appear the same, but I can measure them when they arrive if you like?
Although I did order 3.2's.

David.

I have a brush motor version of 35# and plan to upgrade to brushless. What exactly do I need in order to accomplish it? Any suggestions would be helpful and appreciated.

Hi there cliff
I only used my hands and 2 bearings I had from the tail boom ( i replaced them with better wider bearings and a new tail boom ZOOM !!!)
Next i removed the elevator crank and the whole mast with swashplate
Then I drilled the hole where the screws go in bigger so the bearing will fit nicely .. at the end maybee add a tiny drop of CA on the outside rim . You will see when you fit it
Its not necesarry as there is no slop and nowhere to go for it anyway ..

thats it then put the little brass sleeve that used to be around the screw inside the bearing with the bearing in the whole make sure use washers on bothe sides insert a M2 screw and from inside the frame put a nut onto it
then tighten it and Thats it
On the other side the same just makle sure you take a longer screw so you can fit a sevo arm in there to controll elevation ..

Look at one of my earlier [posts it shows oyu how to make the servo arm (the m2 screw fitts nicely in but I widend the whole with my dremmel tool
Basically you dont want the screw to grab to anything instead you want the screw to move without any restricten throug the servo horn and the elevator crank piece .
So dremmel also the whoole in the elevator crank bigger so the screw will slide through it
Believ me the washer and the nut will make it tight enough and does not move at all ..but making sure the screw does not screw into the horn or elevator shaft rather slides through
Thsi will ensure no pain whilst assembling and disassembling just trust em on this ..make is so it slights easy through all components
Its ball beared now and is SOOOO smooths its scary

Look at the pictures it should help
It cost Nothing just patience and DIY
Hope this helps
Some more piccs

What you mean the servo
NO nothing
all i done is add the bearings ? as described
Forget the swashplate ...
Yes this an upgrade but its nothing to do with this mod
I added bearigns and moved the steering to the ouside of the frame
ALL you do is turn the servo arm ..?
Try it :O)

Contact303,
Install a pair of AlignRC 305mm woodblade on the DF35#. They generate a lot of lift and they're very smooth at 80% throttle. After hovering for 5 minutes, the motor temperature was only 50~55C. It's a lot cooler than with stock poam blades. When the blades about to stop spinning, the helicopter shakes about 2 second. It's no big deal.

CliffR,
What electronic components for brushless upgrade would work with walkera's stock brushed model?
