yank eliminator make 2 versions. one is a 6mm and the other is an 8mm. i'm pretty sure that you need the 6mm version. in the mean time, if you take apart your pullstart there will be a hex shaped nut inside the spool. it is a one-way bearing. find a socket that fits it and use a socket extension with your drill and you don't need to buy a yank eliminator. just put the hex 1 way bearing in the socket and slide it over the shaft that sticks out the motor. works great.

But that nut will fall right out. At least on my mach .15 it will. Would need to put the cover back over it.

Yeaha i'd like to know if we'd have to cover that "shaft" that sticks out of the engine after we start it... keep the blades of grass etc out of the crank... i know i have a bad habbit of runnin the car through a lot of garbage which tends to get caught and sit down for the ride... anyone?

also, on an 0s cv-x(s) on a team assoicated rc10gt factory team side exhaust (pull start obviously) is the exhaust/exhaust manifold gonna get in the way of the socket if I were to try something like this?

DONT jb weld the thing in place on your mach .15.. the yank eliminator wont work on all engines because some engines (picco, mach .15, megatech) use an internal one way bearing and a shaft with a hex on the end slides into it fron the back of the crankcase.

so you're saying.. right now i got a broken pull start and it is all messed up(put it back on and wont start, the pulls are cranky, starts only for 1-2 secs)
if i use my eletric drill softly on the one-way.. it will start?
but that cant be good for the engine... is it? also is it safe to leave the place, where the one way locks, open, the pull start initially covers it.. wont my engine mess up if nothing covers it?
the shaft
