I need to buy ball bearings for an old Royal .25 engine. Does anyone know of a good bearing house in Dallas, TX? I need good bearings without the hobby shop price (more than the engine would be worth).

Thanks,
Ken

I've gone to the local industrial supply place and bought bearings. I've had good luck and low prices.

Enjoy,

Jim

I always bought from Boca Bearings ( FL.) for RC Cars, but they might be a bit pricy. I know they specialize and the quality is excellent. Its been awhile. I dont remember the address but I'm sure a search would bring them up. That's not Dallas but in case you run out of sources.

Ken,

Don't waste your cash on OEM bearing. Boca are less, but are still very expensive.

Talk with Paul at RC-Bearings. His prices are about 40% of Boca's for normal, steel bearings and about 30% of their price for ceramic bearings.

I am talking 60-70% discount off the top, compared.

They are inferior in nothing to OEM, or Boca. I think they even come from the same sources.

I think their fair price must be rewarded, by being their customers.

The link is http://rc-bearings.com/ But it acts funny and does a bunch of flashing around. I got all through it with a little patience.

Enjoy,

Jim

Boca is the place, you spend about two minutes on the phone and get your bearings about the third day, he knows most of the bearings off the top of his head.

Local suppliers like DXP are cheaper than Boca and kinda fast most of the time. I used to use Boca until I ordered a sealed bearing from them and it leaked worse than the bearing I replaced. Now I order from Paul @ RC-Bearings. Yea, he's across the pond and it takes a while...whoop-tee-do...his bearing prices can't be beat. I'm thinking his quality is as good or better than anything other than Swiss made bearings or the like. I guess it depends on how big of a hurry you are in.
