The closest track to me is sugarbowl. It is about a 30 minute drive from me, depending on traffic.

I guess I'm the lucky one. Loganville is 30 min and in my work territory, pass it every 4th tuesday of the month on my route. Sugarbowl is 15 minutes away, but always closed during the week even if the sign says they should be open . Rodslinger is 1 hour away but I pass it every other friday on my route . Kind of nice to be at the track in the day time , hard to make a fool of myself if no one is watching
Hope to meet some of you at the tracks one day. I also live in Gwinnett, off Lawrenceville Suwanee Rd near the Colonial 18 movie theatre and home depot.Fastest_ NTC3, where in Gwinnett do you live? do you run trucks or cars?
Joe

Sugar Bowl from what I understand has been sold and going to close. I have been there and raced on road a few times. (We also run NTC3s along with one Mugen). The AROCC runs touring car racing on Sundays and has a pretty good crowd sometime.
They do offroad and 1/4 scale oval on Saturdays.

Just up the road in Easley South Carolina there is a track thats runs on and offroad along with oval I have been to it a couple of times but have not raced. October 1st 2005 they will hold the Mason Dixon Champonships I hope to be there.

I am going to try and make it to Rod Slinger tomorrow to practice. I am going to try to get there around 10am if my sleeping habits let me. This will be the first time I have ever been on a track unless you call my Mini-Z’s F1 on my RCP track. I am sure I will make a fool out of my self but I have to start somewhere. If I can get one of my trucks set up right I may run Saturday in the beginner class. Hope I am taking enough field equipment?

You should have a great time. Take it slow in the beginning and get faster gradually, as you learn the track.

Let us know what you think. I saw a MT2 18SS there last weekend and it was having serious traction issues. Hope you stick with the .15 as that OS .18 might be overkill. The savage should run pretty well there though. Its nice to run the MT's w/reverse in practices if you don't have corner marshalls.

A couple of folks I know have put the OS 18tm engine in Revos and it did wake that truck up. The OS engine seems to hold a tune better than Traxxss 2.5 and has al ittle more speed. The OS 18 does not break parts as much as dropping in a big block. (Not as much torque). I may change to OS engine around the end of the year.

BooBoo, Nice pics, awesome trailer! I do recognize that Revo from Loganville. I will be a new Revo owner soon and can use some tips on "necessary" mods for the local tracks.

Nice trucks and supper trailer. I still need to get a small air compressor and a canopy but tomorrow I will make do with what I have. I have a big air compressor at the house. I normally blow my trucks off after each tank of fuel. For my Rush and MT racer I have plenty of extra air filter foams. I have not had my Savage long and do not have extra for it yet. Who all is going to the big race at Rod Slinger Saturday?

All so you can check out my models and pictures on my profile pages.
Looking forward to meeting all.

I am going to try and make it all day. I thing the track is open for practice from 10 Am till 7 PM. I am taking drinks and food and hope to be there most of the open hours as long as I do not have any major problems with my trucks. I have not run my MT Racer or my Savage since I did some changes. Just went and got fuel today. Have not run any of them since I left for Alaska the first of July. Was gone the whole month on my motorcycle. Would me nice to meet you but do not laugh too much at my driving.

Hey I promise not laugh at you if you don't laugh at me. It will be my first time on the track too.
I have to do some wrenching on the ez start system on the revo, so if I get that fixed I will most definitely be there as soon as I get out of class.
It will be fun to drive with some one else.
