I'm going to try, if my schedule permits

46u -> RE: Middle Georgians wanted (9/22/2005 5:23:42 AM)

I would like to. [8D]

BooBoo1 -> RE: Middle Georgians wanted (9/22/2005 12:33:46 PM)

46U looks like it is going to be a small turn out so would be a good time to get some racing experience. Look forward to meeting you.

willchao -> RE: Middle Georgians wanted (9/22/2005 1:31:21 PM)

Sorry, not this time. Scheduling conflict.

BooBoo, How long does it take to change all the A-Arms on the Revo? Front and back. I'd like to know how much time to set aside for this task, thanks.

BooBoo1 -> RE: Middle Georgians wanted (9/22/2005 3:13:54 PM)

Changing arms took me about an hour. I changed only the bottom front and back to metal. I still run plastic top arms. I know the metal added weight to my truck but I was breaking one or two everytime I ran at Rodslinger. Track rails are nailed down with metal pins and once you staddle the rail most times it will steer you into the next pin and snap an arm. Changing to metal arms fixed the problem for me.

46u -> RE: Middle Georgians wanted (9/22/2005 4:26:36 PM)

If I make it I will be on the motorcycle do to some problems with my old car, which I have not, had time to fix. They run F1 race Saturday so I will watch it first but it should be over around 3. Do they run any electric at Rodslinger?

I would like to get a Kyosho 777 SP1!
[:D]

BooBoo1 -> RE: Middle Georgians wanted (9/22/2005 5:40:24 PM)

I have seen some guys running electric buggies on the track but have not seen them race. So I am not sure.

No sure if you are intersted, but I saw a used SP1 for sale at Toy's for Boys shop in Kennesaw. Not sure how much they wanted. Their website is here: http://www.tfbraceway.com/

BooBoo1 -> RE: Middle Georgians wanted (9/25/2005 4:33:47 PM)

46u -> RE: Middle Georgians wanted (9/25/2005 4:54:57 PM)

rodslinger -> RE: Middle Georgians wanted (9/27/2005 3:08:50 AM)

This is my first post on this forum.Most of the time I post on the forum on our website( rodslingerrcraceway.com) or the other racing forum yall may not know about is the "Starting Grid" he site address is (www.rc-racing.com)Our thread is #177. While your there,check out the Pro Series East Thread #58.Also www.rcproseries.com.These are some sites that I frequent.If you want to get in touch with me these two are the ones I reply to most often. The next race at Rodslinger will be Oct.8th. WE WILL SIGN UP AT 10:30AM. This is our annual Dead Presidents Race. The entry will be $20. We will pay money for 1st thru 5th. There will be trophys for 1st thru 3rd. Hoping for a good turnout.There were about 60 last year. Someone stole my sign off the road but I have another that says"TRACK". I'll put it at the road so look for it. Thanks,Mark.

Weather is not looking to good for Saturday? [:@]

MammothSavage -> RE: Middle Georgians wanted (10/6/2005 11:58:15 AM)

Just found this thread.....Nice to know others in the area enjoy the same hobby!

I live in Bethlehem GA (between Lawrenceville and Athens - Winder/Monroe area)

I see REVOJoe is in L'ville. Anybody else out my way?

In addition to the Sugar Hill track, there is another south of HWY78 on HWY 81 in Walnut Grove.
I think it just opened up within the past 4-6 months.

I have a Savage for bashing, a Shumacher XT3E for speed, and just purchased a Mammoth ST (still breaking it in!) I mostly bash but am looking forward to trying my hand at racing - everyone was a beginner at some time.[:)]

Let me know if this thread is still "active".

Later.....

BooBoo1 -> RE: Middle Georgians wanted (10/6/2005 12:22:40 PM)

Yep we still hear. I live south of Atlanta. We race Sugarbowl, Loganville and Rodslinger. Revo Trucks that is. I think that Walnut track grove might be Loganville. If so it is a great track with good people. If not then tell me more.

Welcome to the form. Do you or others have web sites to the other tracks? I have the one for rodslinger but how about the others. I have been to the Rodslinger once to play and it is a great track. The only problem is it is about an hour a way and with the price of gas and work being down it is hard to get up there. But if any one else can make it I highly recommend it.

BooBoo1 -> RE: Middle Georgians wanted (10/6/2005 5:01:52 PM)

go to (jimlilly.home.comcast.net) on his wesite he has links to most of the tracks.

46u -> RE: Middle Georgians wanted (10/6/2005 6:12:50 PM)

Thanks[:D]

Attention: As of 11am Friday we will postpone the sign up to 3pm Saturday afternoon.This will allow the driveway and track to dry if the weather breaks like they predict.I just drove down and looked at the track and it looks pretty good if we don't get any Big rain late this evening.As most of you know the track drains very well so I think as of now we can get the race in.Stay posted for futher updates.Mark

BooBoo1 -> RE: Middle Georgians wanted (10/7/2005 6:41:50 PM)

It is about 1:15 Friday afternoon in Griffin and it is raining hard. I hope it will end soon and you can get the race in Mark.

It's going to be a rain out for Saturday boys.We will POSTPONE the Dead Presidents Race till OCTOBER 22. I just came in and it is starting to rain again.I don't believe the sun will shine much tomorrow and I would rather cancel now rather than have everyone drive here tomorrow and get rained out.Gas cost too much for that.Mark your calanders for the 20th and I'll keep the trophys in a safe place.Sorry the weather wasn't good to us.Mark Holloway

fastest_ntc3 -> RE: Middle Georgians wanted (10/10/2005 2:43:08 AM)

Has anybody been to Sugarbowl lately? Are they still there?

crazyjr -> RE: Middle Georgians wanted (10/10/2005 4:46:57 AM)

Hello all. I just signed on and was checking this site out when i found this thread. I live in Warner Robins and been looking for a race track or good bashing spot since hobbytown and echocone stopped racing off road.To all those running at the old Walmart (biglots) Do you still run out there? If so, when? Every time i go out there, nobody is there. To the people who run behind the Defour building. do you still run out there? If so, when?
