Id say that is almost the same plane.

They are planes sold over in Germany i think. Its somewhere on the that one of the guys put up earlier in this thread. looked good. Id rather try to build my own though, i have LOTS of drawings, 2 plastic models, and a few books ,websites, you know,lol.

Your link does not show a B-70. It is a lot more like the Concorde.

The B-70 had no "Tiplets," in fact the outer panels of the wings on the B-70 folded down about 65 degrees to "Sail" on the shock wave, and the engines were grouped together in the middle instead of being in two separate groups.

but the fus design on that plane is basicly the same as the XB-70, related yes, lookes close to the concord yes, but i think it looks more like the XB-70 from a top view, but from the bottom view, it looks like the concord.

i think 30 years and projected use would have an impact on design (tiplets didn't even exist)....remember that engines evolved since the xb70 - becoming totally self contained to ease maintenance..to change an engine in the valkyrie took days...other than that I personally think that one of the distinctive traits of the Valkyie was th long neck....and the craft has it..in fact it has been dubbed by some the Super XB70.Other than that I wasn't aware the concorde is a canard configuration not to mention that if one puts the 3 side by side there will be a more noticeable similarity in the delta layout between the xb 70 and the craft i linked rather than with the concorde..imho.

Actually, the design of the engine bay allowed the engines to be replaced in a matter of 20-30 minutes if needed. This never had to happen, because flights did not call for back to back flights like they would if it was in service.

did the engine get lifted from above the plane? bottom? or the rear?

The part of the bottom siding came off, and they would slide the engine out the back.
R/C...: I didn't mean to sound rude at all by my post. You were correct that it did take them a long time, but that was because they didn't have to be in a hury like they would be if we were in a war. So they were able to take their time to replace engines since they had time.

The engines were pulled out to the rear.

After posting about the Concorde I thought about the canard, and debated going back in and saying Tu-144 instead. I didn't bother.

But the B-70 would never be re=engineered to include tiplets.
One, they have no advantage above Mach, and Two, the droop of the outer wings was designed to contain and redirect the sonic shock wave, giving higher speed capability at the same power level, and decreased fuel rate at a given speed. More MPG, in other words. All this would be lost with the tiplets.

definitely....one of the main traits (if not the main trait) of the xb70 was it's intended capacity to ride the hypersonic wave via the folding of the wingtips..all i was stating was the resemblance of that craft with the xb70...with respect to all other (known) aircraft of the past and present..I mean as soon as i saw the drawing i said...a modern day xb70.....

Oh ya, i been to that site.
Looking in My XB-70 book, it shows 3 wing tip postions, 0 degrees, 25 and 65 degrees,
I aslo notice that the canard had some travel in it, was it for the supersonic travel?
I think about building the model, heres the basics,
a box fus and use balsa to make the original shape, pusher of course, and use a cardboard tube for the neck, but strongly fiberglass
