Monokote. yes I'll save the paint for the rest of you scale guys!! Started drawing the Barron 55, rudder's done. fuse started. Pictures soon!!!

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against film covering...just not on any plane that you are taking to a majority of the events you listed...will they even let you through the gates at Top Gun or Scale Masters with a film covered model?

Like the bash idea and nice drawings. Is that pencil on vellum? Wow. It's ye olde "CAD software???...We don't need no steenking CAD software" thing, huh? Good job!

Paul

Musta been an awesome pilot to score that well. That Mentor, or whatever it is, does look nice though.

If I could apply a film covering as well as Teamscalepilot does, I wouldn't paint either and neither would the rest of you guys.

I may be able to help you with this project. I have built and flown a RCM Piper Seneca II. I am currently building another one (I have a thread going on the twin forum). I recently bought a set of plans for a Beech Baron 58 that was listed on Ebay, in fact I think it is 84" wingspan. I haven't thought about building it because it looks like the top of the fuselage was utilizing alot of urethane foam to deal with the compound curves, but seeing your thread got me to thinking that the plans could be utilized for the wing and tail surfaces while using the TF fuselage. Let me know if the plans might help you, as I am very interested in building this bird. By the way, I am running two OS Surpass 70's on my Seneca which I think would also be perfect for this project as well.

I will try to take some photos first. If it looks like they will help you I will try to get some copies of the plans to you. Here is a look at my first Seneca.
