zalmaxiss -> ICE needs how many Amps? (2/8/2005 5:08:45 PM)

Hello all,
I recently bought an ICE and was going to convert a PC power supply to run it. The one I have is 12v @ 4.5 amps. I know thats not to great. When I was reading the instruction manual for the ICE it said they recommend a power supply that will provide 15 amps of power if you want your charger to be all that it can be.
Anyone running their ICE on lower amps and using all the features? How is it doing. I dont want to drop just as much on a power supply as I did the charger.
Thanks

Your ps will run the ice to half capacity 954 watts) for example you can charge a 6 cell sub c at maybe 6 amps.max

All features should work, just puts a limit on the max power. I'm not sure about the discharge function max power thouggh. I don't know how much juice that pulls.

As far as Power supplies go you can buy a new computer supply from newegg with 25amps on the 12 volt line for 35.00 shipped.
