Status: offline 		Could someone please tell me how to explain to the printer how to print the file so that I get the proper size of plans when they are done being plotted.
Mine that I asked about yesterday are not to scale and are about 10" short on both the wig and the fuse since they both measure 58.25"

The paper size for each of the plans sheets is 40" x 128". The heavy border line is only 36" wide, however. So the printer needs to either print on paper that is at least 40" wide, or must center the drawing on a 36" sheet, and NOT scale to fit the sheet. The likely cause of the printing problem is that the printer is scaling the 40" drawing down to a 36" width. Hope that helps.

special thanks to the belgian desiner
plan are great great great ! (great ³ lol )
the printers/ploters may need a calibration sometimes
i saw it a few years ago on a old system printer./plotter
il consist in ; drawing a square from a well known size, print/plot this square and measure directly on the paper to correct plotter's settings in regards of the "well known" measure of the square.
this might help if the answer of rgunder was not a total solution but i believe he got the good solution

Time to spark a great debate (pun intended). I want to hear opinions on engines for the Pitts. Gas or Glow? O.S., MVVS, Zenoah, Fuji, Magnum, others...? 2-stroke or 4-stroke? Hmmm... can't wait to hear back on this.

a friend told me a DA50
i dont have a DA but well a ZG62.
I think that on medium or large models engine's choice is very wide so advices too.
My ZG is a bit heavier but more and less the same power...? with a good exhaust...?
In regard of the final weight too... i began to modify a bit the model's parts (adding holes in ply wood parts)
gonna feed back here...

Status: offline 		I may be a bit bias about this, but Im thinking this is a great canidate for a conversion engine. Cost came up as a subject near the begining of the thread about getting the kit cut, so why not continue cutting some of the costs and do an engine converion instead of buying one. Now I will duck behind my imaginary shield and fend off all the shots headed my way ..... DUCKING ....

I like both of your engine selections. The DA50, beyond being a great engine just looks great. My concern with the DA50 is the prop size. To keep the prop diameter down, a 3-bladed prop would be required, and the DA50 will swing a 20" 3-blade! But again, great engine.

Has anyone had experience with the Fuji-Imvac BT-43?

Status: offline 		As I have the first parts now on my workbench, I am currently thinking about the following two engines:

- a ZG62 is currently doing a fit check on my workbench together with the parts of the cowling; that might work; and I am flying this engine on an Extra 230 with the new SEP props (German manufacturer) of size: 3 blade 20"x10"

- I like the design of the Rotomotor 35VPi. Seems to be lightweight and powerful. Would probably fit into the cowling and weighs far less than a ZG62.

Now my problem: Is it possible with a light motor to reach the correct CG without additional trimming mass? Does somebody already have experience with this design, e.g. the prototype?

There are some problems with the 'Products' page. If I select any of the items under 'Short Kits', I get a 'Mal formed URL' error from my browser. It looks like you use '\' in the URL path instead of the non-evil '/'. Also, there is additional '\' on the end of the URL.
