Help Me get Started

I am interested in Getting a good Plane to Start out with, I am pretty good at flying park flyer glow planes I was looking at a few options to begin Here they are as follows let me know which one you think is best

Mig 15 From alfa 169
Brushless motor 45
Controller 80
BUilding mterials 30
2 lion Batts and charger 150 bucks
Total about 550

Zagi Tazz-235
Brushless motor- included
Controller- included
1800- mah battery included
Charger- 60 bucks
total about 300

Any other options i have overlooked? WHich one seems a better deal? They both look like sweet planes to fly

Also i do plan on getting a nice 9channal radio soo it can grow with me as i move on to bigger and better things

Both of those planes need a micro reciever and 2 micro servos costing about 80-90 bucks in total.

Please help me out i need some good opinions

You're talking 2 totally different types of model here.

It depends upon what you really want and what sort of weather conditions are predominant to where you fly.

If you have non stop strong winds (like on the coast) where you fly and/or like to really throw the model around doing all sorts of hot dog, wild, aerobatics, then forget the MIG.

However, if you have no or very light winds where you fly, like the look of a scale model in flight, and non stop aerobatics is NOT your scene, then forget the Zagi.

(Mig's, model or real, do not handle like a Zagi, though there are some out there who expect them to and moan when they realize that they can't.)

It's a case of "Horses for Courses!"

Try one of my DoJets for the minfan 480. Search the threads for the build, I have one left ready to fly. Just drop in your equipment and fly. The jet is made of Kevlar so it is very durable. $180
