My wife thinks I am nuts because I going on my 4th airplane. I told her I bet a lot of people have multiple airplanes. Just curious on average how many working airplanes the typical person here has.

I have 6 that I could fly today. I have four more that I could fly tommorrow by moving around some engines/radios. And then there is another five that are in various stages of construction. I've lost count of the number of planes that I have built and sold over the past 24 years.

I have six that are flyable. Only thing I need to do is make sure the battery is charged in each one of them and go fly. I do keep 4 of the 6 on a charger at all times, just have to swap out which one I am keeping charged.

I've got 4 flyable and enough flight packs for 4 more. You've got to stop telling your wife about new planes. It just leads to issues you don't want to have to deal with. Trust me on this.

If necessary, put a lock on the workshop door (from inside), tell her it's your cave, and give her one of Dr Gray's books to read while you are in there.

Well, there is no argument there: you are nuts, and there is probably no cure. Welcome to the world of people incurably addicted to rc flight. My six models have filled my transmitter memory capacity, so now I'm forced to either get rid of a plane to make room for the next one or get a larger capacity transmitter. I wonder which I will do?

You've only got one choice: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXJHG6&P=0

Holds 30 planes and with flash memory can do 100. Do the math. You'd need around 16 of the transmitters you are using now to hold 100 planes. At $150 a pop, if you shop carefully, that's $2400. So, you're actually SAVING $200 by going straight to the top now.

This is too funny! Keep up the posts. Man, and she even had me feeling a little (very little) bit guilty about what I had. I was even going to canabalize parts from one to make another. I'm glad I posted this survery so I can buy more stuff now guilt free! Ah, what a relief. But to stay on the safe side I'm considering Chuck's idea of a locked workshop. - Maybe a VISA card with a PO Box address for the statement would not be a bad idea too.

I have eight, with one on the building board. One that needs a radio and two kits. My wife gave up worrying about it.

P.O Box won't work, UPS and Fedex need street addresses. Have them delivered to you at work, or to a sympathetic club member's house. However, you've got to be sure the wives never meet to compare notes. Better yet, make it an UNMARRIED club member, much safer and the increase in deliveries won't get HIM in trouble too.

10, with 2 more on the table, 2 in the boxes and a couple repairable "events". Number 11 gets back in the air this weekend if I can get a few hours off to put new batteries in the tx and plane.

Ever wonder why wives put up with all this nonsense? Ah, who cares! Get 'um in the air!!!
