I'm looking to get a mini MT but it's between the mini-t and the RC18T. I'm just going to be running it around in the house and maybe outside a little with the kids. I like to hop either one of them up so I think it comes down to if I want 2wd or 4wd. Any suggestions?

Around the house and outside a bit - mini-t would be perfect, and if you enjoy upgrading - mini-t has the largest after market of any mini, perfect again. They really are fun, quality trucks. You won't be dissapointed!

For around the house/drive/street you want to get 2wd. In these conditions it doesn't matter, just on the rough terrain the 4wd has better traction and handling, but the 2wd is still fine with it and a lot of fun!

no, around the house and outside is a job for the rc18t. it will handle terrain better, and you mustnt upgrade right away.

I would say Mini - T. 4wd is not noticeable on mini's and the Mini t has more charm then a rc18. Like everyone has said, It's much more upgradeable and cheap.

MINI - T!!!!!!!

However, if you are going to do SERIOUS off roading like 6ft jumps and rock - crawling, then I would recommend the rc18. But for good fun bashing in, out and around the house: MINI - T. No compromise...

If I decide on the mini-T, would it be best to just get a used one and if so what would be a reasonable price for one? Not to change the topic of this thread but what about the PTI truck that is coming out? Thanks!

If you are thinking of doing lots of uprgrades then ya, a used one would be just fine. Else, I would go for a new one. I dont know about whatever truck you'r talking about. Link?

no, the 4wd makes a huge difference. but do what you want dont complain when a rc18t owns the mini-t in a race. or any where else

I agree with one part of rustlers comment: that a RC18t would beat a Mini - T in a race. But that doesn't mean the Mini - T's better.
