Anyone out there who knows about 10x TX batteries? I bought recently a Super Turbo charger and some JR charge cables. When I tired to charge the TX battery with the cable, the ST told me the battery was in reverse polarity. So, I tied reversing the cable connector to the ST and tried again said no battery attached. Reversed the cable again and now instead of reverse polarity it said there was no cable attached So, I tried to connect the TX battery to the JR wall charger and now it does not even charge ( No red light indicating charge)! So, since Horizon is out for the weekend I was hoping to get feedback from you folks as to what might be the issue. I think the ST supplied cable killed my $80 TX battery . By either shorting it out or blowing a fuse. Now having said blowing a fuse. I only tried charging the TX battery outside of the TX case. So, I know I did not blow any TX fuses. So, anyway here is the last kicker. When I put the battery in the TX and turn it on it works(meaning the TX comes on, not charging) . The TX comes on and has about 90% charge( Left over from when I charger prior to ST purchase). In conclusion, does anyone have an idea of what is up? Does the TX battery house a internal charge protection fuse? How does one get it fixed without voiding the warranty? Is this even covered in a Warranty repair? Help.......

JR radio are reverse polarity, and there is no fuse in the battery pack...just open one to see for you, I know that there is one inside the transmitter. There is a small board in the batt pack with what I assumed before was a diode but I don't think so now, and I'm not sure what it is.

I know not helping much sorry.

According to another person on a thread I started in Jets, said that the yellow part was in fact a surface mount fuse. I'm not going to open up the battery case until I speak to Horizon on Monday as not to void the warrenty. But from what I can tell this sounds like what hapened. If you reverse the polarity on the battery the fuse will blow. If it was not for a defective charge cable wired wrong, I would not be in this mess.

There is in fact a fuse on the small circuit board located inside the battery pack and it will blow if the correct polarity is not observed. You can call Horizon to verify this. It is correct that the 10X's polarity is reversed. The fuse is really easy to replace or you can straight wire it as stated above, however, warranty is voided with no fuse in place. TX will still operate with the fuse blown, it just won't accept a charge or voltmeter.
