Ive got an xtm nitro x-cellerator that works fine. The motor pulls great but the clutch slips so bad. The moter revs out but it barley gets up to speed. My friend advised me to pull apart the clutch and ruff up the pads and bell. I plan to but first want to know if anybody else has had problems thier clutch.

It's just slipping to much all you have to do (correct me if im wrong) is on the spur gear tighten that little nut a bit and u should be fine or there could be something wrong with the clutch but thats my opinion and im probably wrong the only other reason it would be slipping likr that is if you (or someone else) spilt after run oil or fuel on the clutch bell because it has happend to me before but i caught it quck enough to stop it from goin onside the clutch bell.

you SURE it's the clutch shoes/bell? it might be your diff loosening up.
ball differentials shouldn't be in RTR's:| too many people DONT read the instructions.

i held his truck and gave it some throttle to see if the slipper clutch was loose but the slipper clutch was tight and the diff. didnt slip any so im guessing its the shoes, also does the x-c use a ball diff.

I wouldn't call an XRAY XB8 a cheap pos, and it has THREE gear diffs:P
ball diffs are great for people that know what they're doing, but imo not for newbies.
and yes, the XC uses a ball diff.
