I'm starting the fuse and have pieced everything together. I have 2 questions. 1 can you build this with a non-retractible tail wheel? And 2, I'm using the TF Cockpit Kit and the instructions say to put in the standard cockpit floor and to cut it out after the fuse is covered, and install the cockpit kit. Sounds kind of backwards. Has anyone done this?

Sure you can build it with a fixed tailwheel, you'll just have to alter the linkage arrangement. Using a nylon steerable nosegear installation with a 5/32 music wire strut should work just fine
No probelm removing the cockpit floor to accomodate the "scale" cockpit kit.

Thanks AeroScale. Your plane looks Great! I've built 10+ kits and 1 scratchbuilt so far, but nothing as big or as Scale as this. I've got a Supertigre 4500 for it. Did you use Robarts on it? Actually they are the least expensive way to go as near as I can tell. Do you cut out the whole cockpit floor or just enough to get the cockpit kit in? Doesn't really say. Thanks, Tracy.

Does amyone make retracts for the giant scale top-flite corsair, besides robart?Or does robart make a different set besides the 148's for it?I have not heard anything about them other than they are said to be just like the 615's in the way they work.If that's the case,I am a little leary of them for my big corsair.I havn't had alot of success with the 615's.Thanks Tivey

Century Jet makes a set. I thought Spring air did also but couldn't find them listed specially for the GIant Corsair.

Willits,
I've been using Robart gear on all my sport scale machines for years, they have their minor faults but, for the price, they're hard to beat.
You'll end up removing the entire cockpit floor to accept the TF cockpit kit.

I haven't put in the floor yet should I cut it out now except for a 1/2" border or do you need the extra support for the inner fuse for now? As far as the retracts go, they're the last major component I have yet to buy with the exception of servos. I have pretty much all Airtronics Radios. Have 4- 6 channels sets. Was going to use one of those. What size servos did you use in yours? YOu used a front axle shaft for the rear tail wheel and bent it, or did you leave it straight? THanks for all the help. Tracy.
