Hi everyone,
The instructions say 5 1/2" from the LE at the root. When I project it out it's 3" from the LE at the end of the f/g stub wing. It takes 2#'s of lead to balance it. Eyeballing the cg at this location just seems to far forward, looks like it should be about 1 1/2" further back. Can anyone give me their location at the stub and if they had to add this much weight. Total a/c weight is 26 pounds.
Thanks,
Jon

I'm looking at the directions right now and it says, somewhat ambiguously, that the CG is "located approximately 5 1/2" from the leading edge of wing at the center section." It does not say the wing root but is still a bit unclear. I've yet to build mine so I can't be of much more help to you, sorry!

Mark

Hi,
My c/g has to be wrong; at the location I projected the landing gear is behind the c/g.

Jon:

Try it this way...the front egde of the canopy, where it fits onto the fuse (Fuse is recessed for the canopy), the CG is 3/32" behind that line..that is the CG where mine is...when I got mine 7 years ago,the hole was drilled out for the CG....Best to drill hole halfway down between canopy and wing fillet...good luck
