Hi Mike,
This is my first large scale model and would like some information on servos.
I am building a 90" Seafury with a 3w 75 motor, the finished model will weigh approx 12-14 kegs (26-30lbs)
I was considering using hs 700's or 705's for cost reasons, I am from oz and everything is double the price down here.
However I have done a search and asked other forums what they think of these servos and no one seems to use them.
they either use the HS5735MG or jr 8411's.
Is there any particular reason why this is so??

And secondly would I need a servo on each elevator half and what servo would you recommend?

Thanks for your time
Norm

The 5735 is a digital version of the 705 with some other modest improvments in performance. The 705's would work but you may want to consider a smaller high torque servo like the 645's if you are trying to keep the cost down.

Mike.
