hi, im new here.
Just about finished the astra from deagostini. ( was held up for a few months waiting on issues)

need some help, im after some fuel to get it started, in the mag im sure it recommends using 5% nitro fuel for the first couple of tank fulls then going onto 10%. However my local shop only sells 16% and 25%. I think i remember people saying they used 16% for running-in, is this ok to do so?

Thanks in advance
Darren

hi darren, about your question,im using tornado fuel 16% and never used any other fuel.
the man from the local rc shop told me that was good for that kind of car.
and dont forget to oil your air filter.good luck with your car.

the magazine was from deagostini and was a project of one year with every week a part of the car.
you can see my pictures here for more details of the car, it's an alpha pure ten from kyosho.

2,ball bearing set

3,UNIVERSAL DRIVE SHAFT (L)

4,,new diffs (most 1/10th are one size fits all)

5, 2-SPEED TRANSMISSION SET (adds 15-20 mph+)

Running the car
use 10% fule as it has the best responce to the gx12
lube the diffs once every 8 runs
clean the air filter every 8 runs also the air filter for the for car is crap so you should by this air filter it kicks bottom you can clean it every 20 runs its so cool !the best on the market

72 issues at £6 each (£432) no radio gear, no glow starter, no oil filled shocks, obslolite .12 engine, rubbish wheels/tyres. Oh dear.

At my local shop it was £200 now £180 with radio, starter pack, proper shocks, newish .15 engine, proper rubber.

Oh yes he also does his own interest free finance.

you pay £432 and wait for over a year OR £180 and still be disapointed.

the bearing in my clutch that hold the clutch bell has disapeared! i heared a pop and the engine revved up so i shut it down and the e clip that holds the clutch on had gone aswell. i found an e-clip to fit off some shocks i had lying aroung but i'm not sure were to get the bearing. any ideas. Ionio-zante, sounds like you have a nice car but why did you do all that when you could get something real quick for half the price

Find the dimentions of the bearing you lost (internal diameter, external diamater & width) and any half decent model shop should be able to help you out.

Hi again.
Money isnt that much problem to me .
I believe that modelers have to search for the best upgrade and find parts that make his own model more special that the common models.
I know that with this amount of money i could buy something better... but something better everyone could buy.
In fact how many models Pure Ten alpha Type have you heard that fine Hopped up... Not Much.. Thats the all idea about.
